Toledo just beat the Herd in Huntington 96-87 in OT.
Newark grad JT Shumate, playing his first game at UT after playing 2 seasons at Walsh, went for 12 pts and 8 reb. As my son's youth basketball coach for 3 seasons while JT was playing for the high school varsity team I would tell my players to watch JT's shooting form. All of the players in the youth league had a weekly clinic at the high school with varsity players leading a station with the younger players rotating to each station. I urged my players to pay close attention at Shumate's station where he had them working on their shooting form.
He has one of the purest shooting forms you'll see and I look forward to seeing how he does now that he moved up to the MAC (I heard he wanted to come to Athens before ending up at Toledo).
