My wife (she married in to it) and I will be there. I was there last night. They didn't come close to selling the available seats. Wonder how many will be there tonight. Anyone going have thoughts on a pre-game? Can't mingle but can give passing OU-OYeahs.

How many seats did they make available? Wish I could be there, but it’s not in the cards this year.

Not sure, but on another discussion someone said 4,000. Attendance was listed as a little over 2,000, but it seemed that a lot of those people were disguised as empty seats. At one point during a time out late in the 2nd half to include as many as possible coming for the 2nd game only my buddy and I each counted a few sections then extrapolated to the entire arena and came up with about 700.

Most Akron and Buffalo fans skipped the OU/Buffalo game. Toledo fans and most OU fans skipped Zips/Bulls game. I think 2,000 spread out over 2 games is probably accurate

I'd be there for every game if I was vaccinated. It's my favorite sporting event of the year. One of the rare circumstances since turning 21 that I wish I was older.

Understandable! Luckily she and I are both teachers, so we are vaccinated!

You have dispensation to call out the two minutes and basketball 30's (this once). ;-)

I've had my vaccines because I'm OLD Zone. Otherwise I too would be watching from my living room.

In +1, not been many in the last 35 years my pops and I have missed. He's had 2 shots, I've had 1 and we felt we could be there safely. Go Cats!

Had I known that tickets were available and I could have went, would have driven to Cleveland today for the game.

Alas, I will watch from home.

I wasn't there, but I was watching the game with the same friend, in the same house (his), that I watched both the previous victory over Buffalo (the Leon Williams tip-in in OT game) and the Georgetown win. So, I think I was where I needed to be even though I'm 2+ weeks post second Moderna shot. After that previous win over UB my then 3-year-old granddaughter was running around her house in NYC saying, "Bobcat's going to the Big Dance." I just texted her and told her she could say it again!

One of the things I especially remember, and is dear to me, about being at the 2005 championship game in Cleveland was my oldest son stating, a mere seconds before we started to make our comeback, “well, if we are going to win the game, we’re going to have to make our move now”. It was like flicking a switch. A great memory.

I was there. I'd guess 1,500 in total attendance and 70/30 Bobcats to Bulls fans. Very strange atmosphere but you got used to it quick. Got on the jumbotron twice. Lots of people got on it multiple times.

Any side effects from the second Moderna shot? I get my second in early April and am being told to expect a sick day.

Hahaha.. I didn’t see this message before the game, but I definitely mentioned to the wife that this PA announcer couldn’t hold a candle to you!

Neither my wife nor I had any significant side effects to either the first or second Moderna shot. Slight soreness at the site of the shot both times, but that was it. The soreness was so slight that I didn't even notice it unless I touched the shoulder or it got bumped. We have a friend, though, who had significant flu-like symptoms for about two days after both the first and second shot; he also ran a fever. My youngest sister had a similar experience to our friend. I have been taking a multi-vitamin with 1000 IUs of vitamin D, and my wife is taking a vitamin D supplement, so maybe BTCs theory has merit.
