He was the voice of the Bobcats at some point in his career, but don’t know the years.

Sorry to hear. Loved listening to him in the 70s.

Can still hear him saying over the airways - "standing O for the Wine and Gold."

Sad news. Joe was my mentor at WOUB radio. He taught me a lot about sports reporting. I had a weekend football scoreboard show with Randy Greene and Joe was the person who critiqued us and made us improve as the season went along. He also supervised me in putting together a "Great Moments in Sports" series. Somewhere I have a few of those old tapes. I'll always remember his wonderful, colorful, and probably slightly exaggerated stories about the Monmouth College Scots!

I really wish he could’ve called Game 7 in 2016. What an incredible announcer. RIP.
