Doubtful. I have seen nothing that would lead me to believe that any of the bench guys are ready to give us 10 or more points. Miles has been decent but is hot and cold. If I were Boals I would take this game to keep the minutes the same but tell Granger and Brown to just work for shots and give them the green light. I also wonder why White isn't being used. I get he needs to add muscle but he's got length and can shoot from outside while also showing a decent mid-range game in videos. If I were Boals I would be looking at ALL avenues for bench points.

You basing this on what you've seen in practice?

I predict we'll take them. They're 4-0 against teams that are a combined 1-10 in the MAC.

It may come down to how well Littleson and Jackson shoot from three.

Our 3 losses to good teams found them shooting well when we just plain did not bring the intensity. I haven't seen BVP look angry in a while. I don't care if he misses them but there have been a few nice baseline spins where he should have gone for an emphatic dunk. If he comes out and does that tonight we win (not the dunks necessarily but the intensity).

Can Ohio take advantage of our frontline combo of Wilson and BVP v. UT's Milner and Shumate? I've been a big fan of Shumate since his playing days at Newark HS but I don't believe he can match up defensively against Wilson or BVP as he's been playing out of position due injuries to UT big men. On the other hand, Ohio can't give Shumate open looks from the perimeter.

Edit: Rollins of UT is the best frosh in the MAC I've seen so far.

Gonna be tough to slow down Jackson without JP in the lineup, hopefully he's able to go. Need to limit his dribble penetration and get hands up on the perimeter shooters.

Preston is reportedly already not playing in this game.

I know I've probably jinxed them but sometimes you have to say "What the hell."

slow down Jackson--Fyi--you MUST start using the non-gender version of his name by typing Jackchild or Jackkid. Please mend your ways, I do not want to have to turn you in brother, but I surely will. Whoops my bad for using brother, I used an illegal word too. Is Big Person monitoring these posts? I so wanted to not slip-up during 2021 err a 1984. Amen, Awomen I say to you.

Have gotten blown out by every quality MAC school we’ve played. Not good fellas...with or without Preston...not good. Zero depth in the paint. Imagine if Wilson didn’t get eligibility this season?

This was expected but getting jobbed by refs did not help mixed with zero intensity by us. OUr guys looked uninspired again. How does D2 Shumate outplay us? This is worrisome. Sears, McDay and Wilson are the only guys who consistently look like they care.

Totally agree. Preston is a great player but it's more than that. McDay and Roderick need to step up and be more consistent. We're getting little to nothing from the bench. I sure hope they get it together and peak at the right time like last year.
