He's playing for Lakeland: https://gleague.nba.com/player/antonio-campbell /.

They wrap up the regular season next week.

This really underscores just how difficult it is to earn a roster spot in any of the top leagues internationally.

Campbell was MAC POY and has mostly kicked around on the end of benches in the G League and played in the second division in China. Seems like the team in Istanbul was probably his best opportunity. Shame that didn't work out.

Wasn't he with this G League team briefly right after leaving Ohio? Before going overseas?

The Wikipedia page on him had this interesting tidbit I had not heard:

"Campbell tested positive for a banned substance on March 27, 2020, and on May 15, he was issued a fine and suspended for 18 months by the Turkish Basketball Federation."

Lakeland easily won, 139-110. Tony had 12 pts in the first quarter and 23 pts at halftime as Lakeland led 77-47. They play Santa Cruz Tuesday at 7 pm on ESPNU.

I notice too that his stats line includes 5-7 from beyond the arc.

It looks like the replay of tonight's game will be available on ESPN+ on Wednesday. The NBA probably makes them wait two days.

Lakeland wins again, 108-96, and will play for the league championship Thursday at 4:30 on ESPN2 -- about an hour after the Ohio-Kent game should be over. Tony had 5 pts and 5 rebs in 16 minutes. He picked up his 4th foul on the last play of the third quarter and sat the entire 4th.

Tony had 8 pts, 5 rebs and 2 blocks as Lakeland won the G League championship game, 97-78, over Delaware. He also had a beautiful one-handed rebound in the third quarter and scored the last two points of the third quarter on a tip-in at the buzzer. The replay should be on Watch ESPN Saturday.

Who owns his rights? Almost assured to be in camp next year, correct?

I'm not sure anyone has his NBA rights. He was undrafted and has signed a series of contracts with Lakeland, which is affiliated with Orlando, but it appears that Lakeland and not Orlando holds his rights during the G League season. Some minor league baseball players have contracts with the minor league team and not the parent. He has also played in Alaska (Philippines League), Turkey and China between gigs with Lakeland.

He certainly came on during the playoffs and could get a look next season.
