WHAT FOLLOWS IS A PERSONAL RANT: Another Icelandic player in the MAC who is making some waves. He's listed at 6-8, but looks taller. Today against the powerhouse Mliligan he is shooting lights out from beyond NBA three range. On the season, he's averaging 13.3 points per game in an average of 19.5 minutes played. I'm just miffed that we are not getting any Icelandic players. If my mother was still alive, she'd get him to transfer to OHIO. She was the unofficial advisor to Icelandic students at Ohio, which at one point averaged about 20 some students a year. She spoke the language fluently. I have one thing left to say: Miami er ömurlegt! [Miami sucks in Icelandic.]

I didn't look it up, but I'm assuming you have this backwards. Either way, it's impressive. But 19.5 points in 13.3 minutes would make him the best scorer in the country. And I'd be very curious why he's not playing more.

Maybe we could get him to come to us (we are in Athens after all) by telling him we will forever refer to him as “Son of Atlas” with all appropriate signage, etc.?
