Does this mean the 6-10/250 juco center from Haiti is now up for grabs?

Dude is a beast in the paint.

It's worth explaining every now and then for new members or casual readers.

In 2008, it was abundantly clear our head basketball coach Tim O'Shea (TOS) was trying to stairstep his way out of Athens and somewhere near his east coast roots. That spring, he was connected to endless jobs from very minor to big time. We legitimately had 10+ threads of "TOS to" going, tracking all the different reports of the various job openings and it got to the point that every single job opening prompted a new TOS to thread. It was kind of comical but also based in reality. He threw his name into many openings, and many openings reached out to him. His value as a coach was sort of difficult to pinpoint as he had checkered success here.

As he moved on, in honor of that crazy time, every time we discuss a job opening we title it "TOS to.." as a tip of the cap to that crazy time and the comical amount of threads we had. All it really means is there is a job opening.

To clarify on your very good brief, it wasn’t just 2008, that cat was looking from basically day one! At a New Years Eve party at Coach Rhodes house his wife told a group of teachers (one of which was her daughter’s), that Tim has to have a good season so we can get out of here, these schools are ruining our daughter. Jaws hit the floor. They knew how to endear themselves to the community. Only Head Coach in OHIO history that could go to the Country Club and not find anyone to want to play with him.

And I would go one step further to say that he had a young Andy Katz in his bag that certainly helped with speculation. Real or not.

Remember the year OU was on the front page of ESPN.com as the "It Team" headed into the season? That was 100% Katz gassing up his buddy Tim.

Tim also once very obviously checked out my then-GF, now wife while in line at the ATM by College Book Store on Court Street. Proves he had good taste, but I was standing RIGHT THERE, dude!

Don't make me remember the glory days of the players getting interviewed on TV while TOS proceeded to AIRBALL about 3 layups in a row in the background. He looked like the 50 year old dad in flip flops who never played and hadn't touched a ball in 40 years trying to show his kid "how it's done".

Didn't Katz write the "Ohio Has IT" article on ESPN.com? Talking about the 2004-05 tournament team that had almost everyone coming back for the next season? That went over like a lead balloon similar to "Solich's School for Boise" in Sports Illustrated.
