Ajay's big sis Jacy, "3 Stooges" Indiana Fever's Caitlin Clark...

I feel like Jacy's foul on Clark was just a hard, albeit probably excessive foul. It was Mabrey's punk shove after the fact that was egregious.

Clark is literally the only draw for the league. Their paychecks depend on her. Props to Sophie Cunningham for finally stepping up and doing what the oblivious refs wouldn't in standing up for her and having her back.

Jacy didn't want any of her black belt. Straight punk'd.

The WNBA needs violence to attract a wider audience.

We've seen this story-line in the NBA forever. Kendrick Perkins made a career out of it

Direct their body-slamming to someone other than the golden goose.

The biggest problem with the wnba is the players themselves, many are extremely unlikeable and go out of their way to prove it. And they all hate the one person giving them spotlight. If I see another video with that lady snubbing fans who want autographs again followed by a video crying about equal pay, equal tv time, etc I'll throw up.

I saw that and I have a different take. A grown man camping out by the practice bus with a binder of cards... I'm skeptical that guy is a WNBA fan. And you have to think women have a heightened sensitivity to things that might look like stalking.

No one would care if it wasn't Clark. This drama is great for business. Now they've got Sophie Cunningham jerseys flying off the shelf

Of course it doesn't hurt that Sophie Cunningham has the barbie vibe, which will of course only anger some players further

The same plot happened when women's soccer started to take off a couple decades ago.

Optimist is exactly right, this kind of stuff sells better than anything. Relational drama sells in all sports, but I think even moreso in the WNBA. I've dabbled a little into the WNBA over the years, but much more likely to tune in if you give me a salty storyline going into the game. When do the Fever and Sun play next?

It is clear and obvious the cold hearted envy of Clark runs deep in a lot of WNBA players. Not sure if Sheldon fits in that category or not.

But it is Clark.

Ratings were down more than 50% when she was out. Ticket sales dropped off a cliff. She needs the superstar treatment. Anyone within 2 feet of her needs called. People aren't tuning in to her games to watch her get suplexed, they want to see her healthy and banging down 35 footers.

Those autograph seekers looking to resell stuff (IMHO) are a real problem that ruin chances for other people who genuinely want a signature for themselves. Then you end up with videos like the one recently of Ja'Marr Chase on a flight. He apparently refused to sign for a guy so the guy films him on the flight and outs his presence to the whole plane. That's the world we apparently live in. Sign my autograph or else.

So from posts on this board am I to conclude that both female ADs and female pro basketball players are narcissistic Prima Donnas who will deck you whenever they get the chance?   frowncoolcheeky (Ducking)

To me, it's real simple. In passing in public, sign for kids ignore adults. In official signing events, sign for all.

If I were famous, which I'm not, except here on BA, I would adopt that philosophy.

[Fame, or infamy, on BA and $2.50 will get you a cup of coffee, and I don't even drink coffee.]

Ticket sales are yesterday's news. Sophie Cunningham has gained over a million TikTok followers
