The women have announced their honors

CeCe Hooks is the MAC POTY! Was there ever any doubt? She also won Defensive POTY for the THIRD time

Erica Johnson 3rd team All-MAC

Gabby Burris All-MAC Honorable Mention

Madi Mace on the All-Freshman team

If this team stays heathy its easy to see Johnson and Hooks spilling opportunities and votes again and Micaela Kelly winning POY again. CeCe took advantage of the opportunity to show what see to do putting a team on her back. I'm sure she would have traded that for the MAC Championship.

Johnson on the third team while missing half the season and being gimpy a lot of the rest shows what a player she is.

Mace was about #10 on the depth chart going into the season and made the most of an opportunity she probably did not think that she was going to get.

Preston on the 1st team, BVP and Dwight on the 3rd team.

Marreon Jackson is the POTY. I would've picked Pippen, but Jackson is a fine selection.

Jeenathan Williams should be on the first team over either Preston or Justin Turner.

Just based on missed time I thought we would get Preston and DW3 on the Second Team but I am very happy to have BVP and DW3 on the Third Team together. Sears would be Freshman of the Year if he would have not been given only 3 minutes per game before Preston's first injury. Rollins earned it by doing it all year. Jackson is a great pick but I agree with Pippen as POY. The MAC coaches love them some guards!!!! And I would have actually picked Sendy as Coach of the Year. Call me crazy but to lose all of his seniors and Nuga and still do what he did -- pretty great year. Overall not angry at any selections.

Five players honored: a 1st, 2 on 3rd team, fresh and a defensive player. Quick look over past 6 years shows we've never had more than 3 honored:

2020-2021: 1st, 2 on 3rd team, fresh, defense
2019-2020: 2nd, 3rd, fresh
2018-2019: 3rd, 2 fresh
2017-2018: honorable, fresh
2016-2017: 1st, honorable, fresh
2015-2016: 1st, 2nd, fresh

Another sign this team is on the right track. Congrats to all.

And the guy left off is our best 3 point shooter and a more than adequate scorer , so we’re not really hurting for our top 6.

He isn't getting 1st team over Preston if I'm voting. The only thing he did better than Preston was score and that's mainly because he took 120+ more shots. Preston had a better shooting percentage (both 2 and 3 pt shots). Preston averaged more rebounds per game than Williams. He obviously killed him in assists.

Toledo was the only other team to have 5 players recognized.

From what I’ve seen in the small sample of Toledo vs Ball State, Sears > Rollins.

Nope. I guess he’s lucky it went to overtime to have a decent game. Besides, a few of his bad plays were the reason it did.
