Nope, not even close to the first one. I just do not make many ;-)

Some correct names, some incorrect. The answers are....

Christian Laettner (The 400 point scorer)
Elvin Hayes
Danny Manning
Tyler Hansbrough
Oscar Robertson
Glen Rice
Lew Alcindor
Bill Bradley
Corliss Williamson

Of this group, Bill Bradley played the fewest NCAA tournament games and thus has the highest PPG (33.7)
I would have bet my paycheck on Austin Carr. Turns out he averaged 40+ points per NCAA tourney game (60 against Ohio), but only played 7.

I'm shocked Redick isn't on the list.

I was curious and went back through. Redick played on a lot of teams that didn't make it to the Final 4.

Totally forgot about Arkansas and Corliss Williamson. Dude was a monster and he only played three years.

Wow, never would have guessed Hansbrough and Williamson.

Really surprised Ewing is not on the list. Has to be close - what's his total?

He wasn't really a big scoring big man. He was pretty consistent but only had 3 games of 20 or more in the tournament. Ended up with 256 which is about 14 ppg.

Even more impressive is that Hayes, Big O, Alcindor and Bradley played before freshmen were eligible, before there was a three-point shot, and when the field was only 16 teams, so there were fewer rounds.

Pretty sure the 3pt line would not have added to Lew Alcindor or Elvin Hayes totals 😳. Look it up, but I think Kareem retired with a grand total of zero NBA 3pt makes.

Easy assumption. Not even the great Lew Alcindor had an everlasting Leon Williams moment

Nobody from 90s UConn, like Ray Allen or Donny Marshall.
