This what I love about being in the NCAA tournament as an underdog. It’s all gravy after you win one. A lot of programs would brood over this. We just appreciate the run.

It’s a mindset I appreciate more and more as I age.

Again, i think we played a very very good second half. shots just didn't fall. we had the looks. Preston had no legs. Couldn't get the ball above the rim all night. Even a below average 3 point shooting night makes this a different game. I'm not sure what he was thinking on that near halfcourt 3. I know he was just trying to break loose but just not the right shot.

It was a good battle and we didn't let them showboat or cruise to an easy win. Creighton earned it. Good luck to them against the Zags.

Good point on the legs. Those missed free throws from BVP early told me he might not have them, either. No shame in that. They used so much energy down the stretch to catch and hold off UVA.

I think EJ Liddell and Kofi Cockburn would agree with you.

Ohio actually outplayed, or at least outscored, Creighton for more than 80% of the game. We had a 20-19 lead with 7:39 to go in the first half before Creighton's 20-4 run that gave them a 15-point lead. The outscored them 34-33 in the second half.

Really looking forward to next season.

The experience of playing two rounds against two legit top 20 teams with help this team grow. They returned the program to an elite Mac program. Next year with fans Convo should be rocking with what should be returning.

Next month is going to be interesting to see who stays and who goes. If top five stay, then I think you will see some movement with the rest of the roster. Team needs to get more athletic and another quality big. If you open a couple spots, think you will see OHIO hit the transfer portal. If changes happen in top five, then different story.

I bet the top 8 stay. Give Granger a good off-season in the weight room where he can develop some muscle and quickness, and he'll be better than most freshmen big men.

Transfers could be dangerous. I've said all year that this is one of the best teams I've seen at OU since 1979 - not talent wise but TEAM wise. Bringing in the wrong guy could totally destroy that.

A little perspective-in the space of 3 days Ohio just went 1-1 against the #15th ranked and #19th ranked teams in the country, the win being against the reigning national champs. I’ll take that!!

I was impressed by Granger’s defense at times in the last two games. Was able to hold his own against some more experienced bigs from top 25 teams for a couple trips down the floor.

Granger looks like a baby giraffe at times - lanky and awkward - but you have to love his energy and there's clear potential for vastly better things there.

I laughed when Preston whipped that pass at Granger cutting to the basket. Probably about a year or two early to be doing that, Jason. Granger will get there, though.

I like the idea of the Granger we are going to see in years 3 and 4. IF the top half of this roster comes back, just think we need another experienced big for a team that on paper would be really good next year. Doesn't stop his growth, but would add some more size. What I would give for a Patrick Flomo or Devaughn Washington clone.

We just ran into a buzz saw tonight. Creighton had been experiencing some shooting woes. They found their groove tonight and we were cold. It was a great season and it protends well for not only next year, but in years to come. Everyone knew Coach Boals was a great recruiter, this end of the season and tournament run showed the nation he can coach too. Seeing on TV makes believers out of a lot of people--recruits, high school coaches, parents etc. Let's keep everyone together for next year, bring in some high qulaity recruits in a year or two, keep the coaching staff in place and watch the program just take off.

They can ALL come back next year, if they want to...

I understand that, but history proves we will see some roster changes. Hopefully very small.

This team is only missing its Nick Kellogg, a deadeye shooter you can count on to hit 3-4 three-pointers in key situations.
No disrespect to Nick, but Ben Roderick is already with us in that role and I'd take him over Nick 10 times out of 10.

Assuming no one leaves, we're not getting more rim protection. We need some bench guys to step up and command a spot in this rotation. Sam Towns has potential, can he rise to it now? Jalen White might be our best shooter, but can he put the rest of his game together? Can someone in the Rifen, Colin, Nolan group raise his game and give us more?

Oh, as an all-around player, I agree. Love Roderick. I meant as a supplemental shooter off the bench. Kellogg got about 25 minutes per game, but if we had a 44 percent 3-point shooter who could go 15 minutes a game and get up 4 or 5 treys a game I think we’d be better.

That could be White.

This game shows that Preston has lots of work to do if he wants to succeed in the NBA. He should definitely come back next year . He needs to work real hard in the weight room to build lots of size and strength. He needs to bump his squat and his bench by at least 100,pounds in the coming year. If he does he may have the potential to be as good as tre young

Just got back home from Hinkle. Tough night all the way around, but the fact it wasn't a tight loss may ultimately make this one easier to swallow. (I'm sure the guys on the 2012 team will wonder "what if" the rest of their lives about that UNC game.)

It just wasn't meant to be tonight. Shot weren't falling, and Creighton is really solid and smart.

But what a great last couple of months this has been. When the team was 7-6, with a 3-4 league mark, we weren't certain it would even qualify for the MAC Tournament. But they bonded and improved, and then crafted an absolutely magical March run. Hats off to everyone on that roster, and clearly to Coach Boals.

Hoping like heck all the rotation players decide to sign up for one more season together. But even if they don't, I think we can all feel great confidence in the program's trajectory under Boals. So special to have an alum bleeding green and espousing his love for the university.

Thank you, Bobcats! What a joy this season has been.

Someone earlier in this thread mentioned Patrick Flomo. During the game it occurred to me that what this team needs is an elite shot blocker like Flomo. I think it could have been a deciding factor in a game like this if we had had such a player on our roster. We need a rim defender who can Flomoginize the opposition. Just one man's thought. Perhaps, those with coaching experience on the board can cite a more important need, but that one stands out to me.

With that comma after the 100, I was hoping with every ounce of my body that he was going to say Jason Preston needs to improve his bench press by 100,000 pounds.
