Toledo collapsed in the second half. Jackson was almost invisible. Ross had a very good first 10 minutes and then disappeared too after that. The announcers said Richmond was playing without two of their better players due to injuries. That second half would certainly never be mistaken for a MAC promo film.

I started watching that game at the point in the second half when Toledo was up by 10+ and looked to be coasting to an easy win. Then, the wheels fell off. They went like six minutes without scoring and looked like a herd of dear caught in headlights. Maybe they were worn out from having played the Bobcats . . . Other theories?

Toledo's disappointment in not winning the MAC Tournament and moving on to the NCAA played a role in their lose.

They got severely outworked for the last 1/3 of the first half and most of the second. Richmond was missing 3 starters (although they've been missing one of them all year) including their two leading scorers. The Spiders got physical with them and instead of getting physical back they just complained to the refs and went away.

A) Didn't realize they were playing the CBI this year
B) Didn't realize that Bowling Green was in it and played Monday night.
C) Didn't think BG's disappointing season could disappoint any more.

BG loses to Stetson 53-52 after blowing a 15 second half lead. Stetson finished with a 7-9 record in the ASun.
