That was some good stuff. Loved how the team really solved the double teams at the end.

Cats solved lots of issues against that D. Loved how multiple guys did the jobs that needed to be done. thought early they were nervous. great job with the free throws and ice water flowing by preston, sears and mcday. what a great day to be a Bobcat!!!

Boals stays unbeaten in postseason as Ohio coach. Ohio is 4-2 in its last three Dance appearances.

Nick Kellogg needs to give his dad some hell. Clark said UVA would win.

A pure gutty performance. UVA shut us down most of the night. Big 3s by BVP at the end of the half and in the 2nd half. I didn't know he grew up with Hauser.

Roderick had a quiet 15 pts tonight and Wilson did a great job handling Huff.

Sears was ssssoooo cool for a Freshman at the FT line at the end.

Preston was awesome as a leader tonight.

On to Indy and Creighton on Monday.

Cats vs Birds. Go Cats!

The free throw shooting! My God the free throw shooting!

That’s how you win when Preston has his B game! Vander Plas out of his mind the last two weeks.
That 3 by BVP at the end of the first half was huge.

Preston just a complete no-show. Way too timid and not making much effort to get the ball on the offense.
Yep. 10 rebounds is not showing up.

Maybe accept the fact U VA had a plan to contain him. I mean he is human.

He had a double-double...go away

Besides those two easy baskets out of time outs, the key coaching move of the night was inserted Sears to bring the ball up. Changed the whole complexion of the game and eventually freed Preston up to score a few points.

Go Bobbies! Just waiting for more headlines and pictures to show up in national headlines. I am having a hard time deciding which shirt to print for the next game. But I really like this one:

I thought Dwight kinda stunned UVA’s bigs with his physicality and strength. Their bigs are skinny and he’s the perfect height and build to burrow under them and bulldoze them. I was shocked how many good looks he got all by himself.

What a great win. UVA clearly game planned around containing Preston and he still found a way to contribute big time. BVP was clutch getting us the lead in the 2nd half, when he heated up things got real. And Roderick with one of the most clutch shots in Bobcat history! The poise to fake and let the guy fly by, take a dribble and knock the three down. What a big time shot!

This is a very good observation, Alan. I noticed that and thought it was a key. Seemed to change the flow and confused Virginia in terms of defensive and hedging -- even though they stayed in their man defense.

We now have, I think, a 3-1 all time record against UVA. Is there any other P6 team we have a winning record against? Off hand, I can't think of any, but there might be one. Perhaps one our our BA stat gurus know the answer.

Alan, if you've been in the chat room the past few weeks you would know who's been calling for this since January. Especially with a smaller guard on JP, like LCJ or Segu or Marreon Jackson.

This program has produced three incredible tourney runs in 11 years. Not bad for a mid-major.

Has a program ever won 3 first round games in a row as a 14, 13, and 13 seed before? I doubt. Truly remarkable.

great foul shooting down the stretch despite the refs trying to freeze our shooter. what was with the refs waiting until the second shot to review and adjust the clock to 5 seconds?

INCREDIBLE. We out-Virginia'd Virginia. Defense was as flawless as you could have wanted. Every possession they were locked in. Thought BVP was HUGE! Preston, super reliable. We were all so clutch at the line.

This is what dreams are made of. Life is good!

Preston was great tonight peeps... stat sheet was filled. Just collected those rebounds all game. Had a few CRUCIAL drives and finishes. Had that one big three early. A few big assists too.

How about Jeff Boals? How about our execution out of time outs? I remember at least three possessions out of time outs that were executed to perfection and lead to points. Amazing coaching and execution. Bobcat Boals Basketball Magic!

I could not believe that made that decision. No idea how they let Lundo shoot a FT and then decide to review the clock. Did not seem normal.

Ohio had the only upset of the four first round games played in Bloomington.
