I must admit the thought crossed my mind when i heard JC was entering the portal.

I cant fathom theres a 5% chance of it happening but it was an interesting thought.

Has anyone ever in the history of NCAA sports transferred away from a school, played for a different school, then transferred back to that school to play for them again? Come on, this is silly speculation.
Nailed it.

In all seriousness, I really want to know if this has EVER happened before.

Previous comparisons included Carter playing two years at Xavier against better day in day out competition. A little closer apple to apples

Ohio Careers

Carter

31 games per season (62 total) - did not count RS year

25.9 minutes per game
12.7 points per game
49% FG%
70% FT%
27.% 3pt%
6.6 reb per game
1.3 assists per game
.7 blocks per game
.6 steals per game

BVP
29 games per season (87 total)

30 minutes per game
12.4 points per game
44% FG%
69% FT%
32% 3pt%
6.0 reb per game
2.7 assists per game
.6 blocks per game
1.1 steals per game

We are basically adding another BVP to the lineup

You’re supposed to double down. You’re never gonna get a spot on First Take now.

I have a Giants fan friend to whom I still insist to that Eli Manning will never win a single Super Bowl. I’ve refused to lose the bet.

I am sure that it doesn't happen often. It must happen every once in a while because it happened twice in the same day. I assume Boals was involved in his original commitment to Stony Brook.

Yes but both were due to the 6 year covid rule. And graduate transfers are a more recent phenomenon in general. I genuinely would guess it has never happened before.
