Would nice to have Gary Trent come back to be an assistant coach under Jeff boals. Gary could be a good recruiter.

Just curious, what makes you think Gary would be a better recruiter than anyone we have currently?

Why would Gary Trent be a good recruiter period?

In a way, that's where I'm going, but in reality, my concern is if they'd bring in a coach, is he better than the guy he's replacing. This is my argument for the hiring of former players as coaches that some fans seem to think is a great idea, despite their having little experience in the college game. Specifically, I'm pointing at Nick Van Exel at UC everyone in Cincinnati seems to want. I view Gary in a similar way.

I feel like a broken record here but another reminder that Bobcat2000 is not a typical poster. He has very bizarre hot takes mostly all revolving around high major programs, the NBA or anything else you see on ESPN. We are at the point now where we should know better than to let his comments derail conversation.

Mine would have been Caris Lavert.

I hear your point. If there was so much deep conversation and dozens of threads in discussion, I agree (In season, for example).

Plus, occasionally, I like playing devil's advocate for the sake of it. Sometimes I/we learn more as a result.

Oh, I’m fully in on Bobcat 2000 at this point. I just read the posts in the voice of Will Ferrell doing a Harry Caray impression and it’s magical.
