Watching this live, I haven’t seen anything to make me think we can’t beat this team. The shots just aren’t falling.

We're playing a much better overall second half, but the shots still aren't falling. for as long as we've held them, we should be within single digits by now (8 min to go)

I was going to argue, but looking at our 3-point shooting, you’re not wrong. Three more go down and it’s game on.

The turnovers are not even forced half the time... just sloppy fundamentals.

This team is only missing its Nick Kellogg, a deadeye shooter you can count on to hit 3-4 three-pointers in key situations.

This team has a lot of heart but maybe not enough time left. Not sure we can pick up ten points in 2:26.

Sears has been big this half. Only guy pushing the ball.

Going to be a good one. Not ready to take over a game yet, but he was the one with the intuition to take the big shots.

Every time there was a chance to go on a run we missed a shot. Just could not get it going.

Yep. He attacked the basket consistently.

Proud of this team. Not the outcome tonight that we wanted, but nobody can stay hot forever. I like our odds of dancing again next year.

Thought the guys played really well in the first 10 minutes. They were being the aggressor, but once Creighton got going they just couldn't match them punch for punch. Once the shots stopped falling, Preston and BVP were shut down or pressing and thats when the TOs came.

Still 2nd half cutting it to 13 twice and then 10, followed by questionable offense immediately after did them in.

Excellent season boys. Lots of pieces coming back to be excited about. But the work toward 2021-22 starts tomorrow.

Great season. Need to improve defensively and one more frontline scorer. Hopefully its Sears or McDay.

Nothing to be ashamed of. Just wasn’t our nite in too many aspects, which Creighton had something to do with.Keep your heads high guys and thanks for a great year in a year that was really, really tough. Great great memories by a bunch of really classy kids.

We need rim protection in the worst way.

Proud of the 'Cats. They played a solid Creighton team with all five starters in double figures. Our shooting percentage across the board was atrocious by comparison, but -- even with that -- the Bobcats showed a lot of heart and kept fighting till the very end. (The last couple of insanely athletic saves that Preston made were absolutely superhuman.) Thad Matta was at the game and Jim and Joe Burrow too. It all felt like a tight family, whom you just got to love. I also appreciated the 'Cats showing a lot of class and helping Creighton players up when they went down. I like this team, this program, and this community. We have nothing to hang our head about -- nothing at all!!!

Ditto and hats off to Creighton, those guys are tough. Great job by Coach Boals, the staff, the players, everybody. Unbelievable stretch run. Can't wait till next season. Go Cats!!

So proud of this team. It was a truly magical run through the MAC tourney and then beating UVA.

Picked the wrong day to miss a bunch of open looks. It was not a good or even mediocre game by the Cats, but I think Creighton deserves a lot of credit for making us look bad. Outstanding energy and defense and they did something Virginia didn't manage to do: Frustrated Preston enough to make him force things and make bad decisions.

Still, I think we'd all have been thrilled with an NCAA win at the start of a season that almost never happened and one that almost got cancelled at the very end. The seasons following 2010 and 2012 proved there are no sure things for a mid-major team, so I'm trying to enjoy this year for what it is.

Disappointing game but there are some bright sides.

I'd be surprised if Boals gets poached after two years at the helm and one NCAA win with two of the best players being recruited by the last coach. So there's a good chance to build on this momentum.

Assuming all the key pieces return, there should be a huge amount of momentum and opportunity for bigger and better things next year. That's of course far from a sure thing for any college team nowadays, but this group seems to love playing together, so it doesn't seem like a pipe dream.

This team overachieved this year and could achieve something even better next year.
