Ohio is 0-1 all-time vs Creighton. Lost 57-55 there on 12/17/62. Time to even the record.

Knock them out, knock them out, send them back to the Big East out west in Nebraska.

On one hand, a historic venue! On the other, it's so far from the airport.

Nice breakdown of the last ten games of action... Per these numbers, Creighton has an edge but just... BTW, last team they lost to (Georgetown), was playing much better at the end of the year as well... Was anyways.

Creighton has not made the Sweet 16 since... Wait for it... 1974. Since 2000 alone they've had 12 tournament appearances and five 2nd round appearances this century. Zero wins in the 2nd round.

It's crazy that we've now had 3 straight upset wins as a 13 or 14 seed and we made the Sweet 16 last time around. I've got to imagine we are the first school to win 3 straight as a 13 or lower seed?

Yes, Richmond is the only other school to have three round of 64 wins as a 13 seed or lower and they were not consecutive. The Spiders won as a 13 seed in 1988, lost as a 14 seed in 1990, won as a 15 in 1991, and won as a 14 seed in 1998. They also have a win as a 12 seed in 2011.

Nothing like KC but it is diametrically opposed to Muncie on the 465 dial. And it is a hell of a lot easier to get to than O Hare (thank god the El got extended)

To put things in perspective, the lowest seed to win the NCAA tournament was Villanova in 1985. They were the 8th seed. If we were able to go all the way, we would likely hold the record forever.

Let's focus on Creighton first. Going to take another defensive performance like Virginia with some better offense like we saw in Cleveland to pull this one off.

After that, one word - Gonzaga. That ain't happening.

About 30 years ago I flew into Indy from DC for a meeting at a hotel on the opposite side of town from the airport. I knew a cab ride would've been outlandishly expensive so I used the less-expensive limo service. I expected an eight-passenger minibus but instead they sent a stretch limo, with full liquor bar. Sweet. Of course, this might not be the case anymore.

So true.....I liked Stapleton....Last time I flew out I left Mile High and took the rental back to the nomadic yurts east of town....took forever to get there.

And the story about the cab vs the limo is true....Cabs here are among the highest price in the US. Not sure how Lyft/Uber has changed the landscape.

Sagarin ratings have Creighton 20th and Ohio 101st and would show Creighton to be about a 10-point favorite. However, in the recent ratings, Ohio's number actually is a little better, 31st to 36th. I'm sure the blowout loss to Georgetown in the Big East tournament didn't help there for the Bluejays.

In the Ken Pomeroy rankings, Creighton is 24th. They are 20th in offense and 28th in defense with a fairly average tempo. Ohio is 78th, ranking 30th in offense and 152nd in defense with an above average pace.

My favorite quote from their board. For the most part they seem to trying to scout us statistically. Because of the way our season played out it's hard to look at our schedule and results and get a picture of what is on the court right now.
