It would appear that we have a stacked roster for next year which should make playing time in short supply for some good players. However, my question is how can we have more players shown on the grid than scholarships?

I believe there are probably covid year holdover player exemptions on since last year didn't count, but not for sure.

The grid on the recruiting board still lists Jalen White. I don't know if teams are currently allowed to go over 13 scholarships, but I don't think it's really necessary for a college basketball team to have more than 13.

Wilson and Carter are in their last years of eligibility. Amazingly, BVP can return for 22-23, but I have to imagine he will move on to what's next in his life.

If Schmock is on scholarship, we are full for this year. This will be his fifth year playing - he has never redshirted, so he will be gone after this year. So we will have either three or four departing scholarship seniors and two of those spots accounted for with James and Hadaway.

I'd like to see the next commitment address the point guard position in some way. Maybe that's Lukas Frazier committing for this year, or maybe that's someone in the 22 class. Sean Jones from Gahanna would be a dream come true.

I was thinking Schmock was on scholarship until we signed Olumide Adelodun, then I assumed he was a walk-on. We have enough scholarships for both?

Wilson for sure does not count this year. He was the only person at end of eligibility last year and is permitted to return and not count against the 13 allowed.

Tommy is on scholarship. He is a good fit in my opinion.
