My guess is with President Nellis on his way out, there are some political axes to grind. I mean not only his Ohio opening up, but blue states like Massachusetts are allowing full crowds at Fenway etc.
I know this will lend this to potentially be in "Siberia", but this is what has angered me from the beginning with COVID. It should have never been, nor should it be moving forward, a political issue, or a red vs blue issue. It should be about the health and safety when making decisions, and doing what is right with the information present at the time of the decision being made. Period.
Specifically as it relates to the Ohio basketball camps, maybe the decision could have been made prior to the changes according to the state and CDC recommendations, thereby making a change of course something Ohio athletics simply didn't want to do. Or maybe they're operating with an abundance of caution. Who knows? Not me, and probably not most of us on this message board.
