I’ve been to a few CSU games over the years. I do not remember seeing them sell the second level seats for a while. Last year they didn’t allow fans at all due to Covid.
I was more surprised at the number of seats low behind the benched already gone, but they might not be selling some of those early in the basketball season. I decided to buy some sideline seats instead of those discounted corner sections though.

Some context: That average of 1,501 was the best for CSU in five seasons. Then everything changed in 2020-21.

Garrett believes the Vikings would have averaged about 2,000 fans in 2020-21.
CSU ranked No. 7 in the 10-team league. That’s why Garrett is excited about selling out the courtside seats for the first time in many years at CSU. The season-ticket base has doubled from 400 to 800.
“Our goal is average 2,500 to 3,000 fans a game this season,” said Garrett. “It has been done here before when we’ve had good teams.”
The last time CSU averaged more than 2,167 a game was in 2012

They have 4 super seniors and added 3 transfers (one from Florida State) to give them 16 scholarship players this year. Their leading scorer and rebounder is Torrey Patton, the former Zip. They were picked first in the Horizon preseason poll.
