It's their bigs shooting FT's. They are just far superior to anything we can throw at them. Carter should be due back in Cincy anytime now. I'm not thrilled with the results of his return thus far. Also, Sears looks awful tonight on both sides.
Are you serious? Dude is averaging 14 and 7. He is clearly a leader and playing great defense. And that is without DW3 in the lineup. And Sears? Really? Against SEC talent? Have you ever watched basketball because both guys are irreplaceable. Without Carter this team is 2-5, not 5-2. And Sears is a baller being asked to do everything.

You watched a different game than I did. We fought back to tie, when we looked hopeless lost in the first 15 minutes. We missed a pile of open threes that if half of those misses go down we are in a tight ball game. I'll keep Carter, thank you. Hopefully, we'll get McDay back, and maybe Wilson. This team has a lot going for it, and will be better as the season progresses. They haven't yet hit on all cylinders.

At least we know we can shoot like a junior high team and still be competitive throughout the game

We do more dribbling on the perimeter resulting in a 1 shot possession than any team I have ever seen.

We look flat out un-inspired. This should be a 40 point mauling.
Uninspired? We watched a different game.
We were hesitant but never uninspired. I look at these games as "Buffalo" tuneups and I think we will fare just fine against Beefs given our effort against two SEC and NCAA Tourney teams!

6 of 32 from inside the arc ain't gonna cut it. This is where DW3 could've helped.

I agree. These Cats battled. LSU is a very good team. Aggressive, athletic, great length. We did well hanging with them. I’m proud of our guys.

Not too sure why so many airballs. Seems odd as they were from 22 feet and 2 feet. Just lots of balls that never hit the rim. Should be interesting to see the box score. We rebounded well, defended as best we could but sure could not hit nuttin tonight. Best sequences were just that, ball moving and passing sequences that resulted in good shots. Dribbling around and not moving the defense is not going to make it.

That one was rough to watch. Gotta dust ourselves off and bring on St. Francis. Also, Rod just needs to work on threes in practice. Just threes, nothing else. So disappointing to see him in a funk this year compared to last year.

Mark is great. Even the commentators mentioned how looked like the only one who can score. Plus, he would get hit shooting his floater or jumper 85% of the time it seemed like.

Obviously Carter was disappointing. And I say that because he has massive big game experience and unfortunately he looked like a freshman tonight. I didn't expect him to be as overwhelmed as he looked.

With that said, LSU doesn't play in the MAC. He'll be fine, but man...we need Wilson and McDay if we truly think this team can be special.

This is one of the silliest comments of the year.

It seems we are just good enough to force the really good teams to overwhelm us using their greatest strength as a mismatch. Kentucky destroyed us on the boards. LSU is great at keeping pressure on the ball and getting a hand in everyone's face and we did not shoot well at all.

Early in the game didn't Sears score something like 9 of our first 12 points after we had been shutout for about the first quarter of the game? Just going from memory there. Yes, the guy played his heart out. If we had had another Sears on the court we would have won this game.

Well, LSU is unbeaten. They had Belmont down 80-40 a few weeks ago and put in their non-professional players and still won by 30.

So, how does LSU get so many NBA quality players? Hmmmmmm...

In the conversation, Wade spoke openly about making a “strong-ass” offer he made to current Tiger guard Javonte Smart, along with the fact that LSU “could compensate [players] better than the [NBA] rookie minimum.”

Another game that brought this team down to earth. 2 rough road losses vs Sec teams. We did not play that great against Concordia. This may be a wake up call for this team.

For me we have now played 7 games and won the ones we should have and lost the ones we were not expected to win.
The sun will rise this morning and Saturday we will see us win another game we were expected to win. PERIOD.

The Bean Willis comparison is strange. I don't see Ben Roderick hoisting pull up 30 footers with 25 seconds left on the shot clock.

Will Wade was big mad after last night. Good. Eff that guy. Watch his presser:

Look, we ran into a team in the upper third of the SEC in terms of athleticism and defense. I'd take LSU over Kentucky this year in a heartbeat. Despite that, there's quite a bit of good in the box score. Uninspired teams don't get 12 offensive rebounds in the house Shaq built. Uninspired teams don't dive on the floor, scrap, and force 17 turnovers. Uninspired teams don't get 19 more shots.

They just fall apart on the big games. They cannot hit the baskets. I don't think anyone shot for over 33% and they average 50%. It wasn't for lack of attempts. That tells me it was nerves. There was a noticeable difference in their performance. The statistics bear that out too.

We are exactly where most of us thought we would be at this point in the season. Calm down and go look at a tree or something.

Lots of overreactions in this thread. I was happy to see us fight back to tie the game after a horrible start. LSU will be ranked next week. We've lost to two Top 25 teams on the road. This is a good Ohio team. We'll be fine.

Will Wade is a jerk and an overrated coach. Heck of a recruiter but his teams have never accomplished anything. Glad he was agitated. That takes the sting from a loss just a little more away :)

Wade went to high school at FRA in Nashville not far from Vandy. He parents had season tickets there. You notice VU never tried to hire him???
