Capital lost to Miami last night 69-44. Couldn't find a boxscore.

It was a two point game at halftime and then Miami pulled away big time in the second half. Miami is without several frontcourt players and Dae Dae Grant didn't play last night either.

Also, according to the season schedule on BobcatAttack.com, the game will be broadcast on WXTQ Power 105.5, but not available as a web broadcast. That's probably right, but I wonder about it because I've previously been able to stream games on https://www.wxtq.com/listen-live / or by asking Alexa (if you have Amazon Prime) to play Power 105.5 FM.

MAC struggling in exhibitions. BG beat Fairmont State in OT and Ball State lost to Michigan Tech. Ball State down by 17 with 6 minutes to go had a chance to go ahead in the last minute but missed. BG needed a friendly bounce 3 with 10 seconds left to get the game to OT. Both coaches have to be feeling their respective seats warming up.

Arkley tweets that Wilson and Ezuma (illness) are out today. I hope that means good news for McDay's status.

McDay was in the second wave of players off the bench. A few first half observations as I was able to make it to the game today…

- Seems like everyone on the team can step back and shoot from distance.

- Schmock is playing really tough defense. Looked good going to the hole too. Hopefully it stays that way against D1 competition.

- Clayton looks very good for a freshman. Nice touch. Got lost a few times on D but overall I like what I see.

- Carter and BVP passing between each other on the interior is fun to watch.

- Last and most importantly… Jeff McKinney did not stand for defense. #Disappointed

It’s only Capital but this team is going to be an entertaining group

92-66 good guys. Didn't sound like the game was ever in jeopardy up 50-26 at the half. Giving up 40 in the 2nd half is less than ideal though.

Adelodun with 0 pts in only 7 minutes, looks likely to not be ready to be part of any rotations for this season.

Schmock (17), BVP (12), Miles Brown (11) and Carter (10) in double figures. Can't imagine that continues for Tommy against D1 competition. BVP and Carter doing what they do.

Brown started in place of McDay. Sign of things to come or one game aberration/injury/punishment?

We shot 63% from the floor (38-60). Towns (1-3), McDay (1-2) and Sears (3-7) only guys who played minutes who were under 50%.

Granger (minus FT) and Clayton looked good.

Towns led the team with 7 rebounds and a blocked shot. If he can provide length and rim protection on D while his O catches up that could be a big win for us.

Hard to glean TOO much from this one, other than we did what we should have done against Capital.

From the highlights:

The bucket off the baseline dribble drive by Granger was something I don't believe we saw from him last year.

My memory could be failing me, but did we see a Ben Roderick dunk last year? The highlights end with a slam from BRod.

Roderick had a dunk at the end of the MAC championship game. That was his only other dunk at Ohio.
