There really is nothing that can be said about this team other than lack of effort period, intensity, interest.

By design, this is the least productive bench in the country. Boals is my guy, but we’re very close to coaching malpractice. Whether they are indeed this bad, that’s your fault for putting them together, continuing to allow Sheldon anywhere near the floor is fireable. Continuing to allow this group to push forward with absolutely no shake ups, no bench minutes, nothing is borderline fireable. Tomorrow I’m starting guys who want to be there. Guys who can put the ball in the circle, or atleast try real hard doing it.

Please investigate Sheldon for point shaving. I refuse to believe anyone is this bad at basketball. I flat out refuse to believe it.

I will be calling the FBI all day.

Our team complains too much…sometimes hard to watch, prevents me from pulling for them more at times. I could be wrong but I think the team needs more height and athleticism. At this point in the season, no more 3’s. Curious as to what the teams 3 point shooting percentage is for the year thus far.

Ohio is shooting 30.5% from 3, next to last in the MAC.
Ball St. is last in the MAC in scoring and FG%.

I thought the analyst Jordan Taylor was outstanding last night. Also, anyone catch them saying Simmons admitted he weighed 275 when practice started?

WTF

Good luck with that. The FBI is a little too backlogged protecting pedos.

Officiating question from last night's game: when a player, who is going to the foul line, is taken out of the game due to injury, who gets to choose who replaces him at the foul line?

Breath subbed in for Simmons but Sheldon shot the foul shots awarded to Simmons. I thought the opposing coach got to choose, in which case the obvious choice would be Breath. Did Boals choose Sheldon or did Lewis?

I think you have to pick a player on the floor. Lewis picked Sheldon before Breath came in.

If our 4ppg reserve guard goes scoreless again as he did at Ball State, is it time to retire the nickname "walking bucket" - ??

When people think about a "walking bucket" type player that would usually be somebody like Gilgeous-Alexander in the NBA or Cam Boozer in college ball. Not a 4ppg reserve guard.

And all we have is two guys from Reynoldsburg who appear to be redshirt candidates. Maybe McKinney plays. Kelly will hit the portal quick along with Simmons and Elliott. Mark it.

Curious as to where that nickname originated?

I remember one of the assistant coaches giving someone this nickname in a preseason interview. Not sure if it was Burris though.

The legend of Jesse Burris grew in the 2025 Columbus summer basketball league. He allegedly put up Pete Maravich type numbers…40 PPG. MDWST was keeping tabs on Burris and his prolific scoring in the summer league. He quickly dubbed him “Walking Bucket”. It was brilliant then and it’s brilliant today and that is where the legend of “Walking Bucket” was forever born.

Jesse Burris is #WalkingBucket
