They're obviously playing a lot better but I'd still be surprised to see them win a single game in Cleveland in March. I'll feel differently if they can win against the top half of the conference.
This kind of where I am. I'm usually a glass half full optimist, but I'm still not sold on this team. They've made improvements in the last several games. The win against St Bonny was impressive, as was the win against UMass and the incredible comeback against EMU. But, there is some intangible that keeps me questioning this team's ability to really play consistently well against the league's best. Perhaps, my unusual level of pessimism is a blessing in disquise and means were scheduled for another visit to the Sweet 16. I can hope!

One FGA for Simmons 12 minutes in. One for Pavs.

9 for Hadaway.

Down 7.

Offense has to run through Simmons and Pavs.

you're really going there when Hadaway is red hot and has 17 this half?

Yep. He's shooting well. But we're too easy to defend when he's the number one option, and the ball doesn't move. He's not gonna shoot 64% in the second half.

Simmons had a shot on our first offensive possession. That's it. That's not a good thing for our offense, even if Hadaway is making shots.

Simmons if I heard correctly had to sit a while due to blood on his jersey as well. Go with the hot hand. matchups matter too. Making 2s was not a problem in half 1.

He still played 16 minutes. We didn't get him the ball.

Also, since I suggested more possessions for Pavs and Simmons, Pavs is 6 of 7 and we're plus 9.

Edit: My bad. Since then he's missed badly 3x including 2 3s.

Way to give away the big lead. Take a couple stupid shots and do my favorite thing… Guard the lane and leave three-point shooters wide open.

Nice free throw shooting down the stretch!

Ridiculous shooting percentages for the starters today. Well done Bobcats.

Glad I didn’t negative comment about Hadaway like I almost did after UMass….

This team is a bit more fun to watch now that we can shoot, huh?

With Kent somehow losing today to CMU, we’re suddenly up to 2nd in the MAC.

Pretty solid win. On the ball defense has to get better along with free throws and distance shooting. Surprisingly, rebounding for our lack of size has ben not bad with the gang mentality on the boards. At times, team still gets caught with the wrong players dribbling too much. I wasn't down after 1-6 start but now it's about the MAC grind and getting ready for Clevelend.

I am with SBH on Kelly. I kept an eye on him a lot today and he was a horrible defender. At least today he was. He does have a nice offensive game though. Overall, Undoubtedly better than Sheldon or Connor’s or Burris.

A couple of fans around me agreed that Ohio doesn't have anyone who can guard UB's Frietag, who came in averaging 20 points. But something worked in the second half, when Frietag was held scoreless after scoring 16 points in the first half against several Bobcats Boals tried guarding him.

Good game today for Ohio. Buffalo road game hadn't played the kind of schedule we played and they got rattled. Good week for Ohio to hold serve at home. Hadaway big game today. Today he was hot. Overall has struggled shooting can he hit enough three like today on a consistent basis. Sheldon hitting more shots. Teams are really going to force someone besides Pavs and Simmons to beat them. Hadaway hasn't had a great year so far. Hope he builds on this and things open up. Too many turnovers. We hit our free throw today and Buffalo did not. That is the difference in these close games. We remain on track for a middle seed. Lots of tough games home and away left. No road game is gimmie in this league as Kent Stater lost at CMU.

OK, that spelling of Dior's name (with the random apostrophe) had to be a troll for MonroeClassmate, right?

Darn you; you just elevated my blood pressure..

By coaches decision, Connor’s never saw the floor vs Bulls.

But when Hadaway was awarded his fifth foul the coach replaced him.

His replacement, who had played a few minutes in the first half answered the Coach’s call and stepped into the heat of the battle. The player helped break the Bull’s pressure when the outcome was still slightly in doubt. He went to the line and coolly stroked his four free throw attempts.

Hats off to Dior CONNERS!

Monroe, I use voice to text way too much. That’s why I end up editing a lot of my posts. As for Burris versus Dior, it depends on the game situation. Playing Dior at that point in the game made a lot of sense.
By the way, you left off the most important word in my post. Overall! In my opinion, JJ the best of the four listed.

UB up on the road at Miami at the half, 48-46. Miami getting a lot of media attention this past week, regionally and nationally.

Miami has fouled UB 3 times on 3-pt attempts in the first half. If I remember correctly, didn't Ohio do something similar last Saturday in the Convo v. UB? Is this a strategy UB uses?
