UMASS is desperate. A loss here and they are 0-4 and in big trouble to not make MAC Tournament. UMASS football and basketball team have combined for 0 wins in the conference since joining the MAC.

umass is a team that has fallen apart. once upon a time when jhon calipary was thier coach umass was a national power consistently ranked in the top ten. then cal left and mass started sliding downhill to where they are now. they should have stayed in the atlantic ten.

Make no mistake, this is still a good team.

They have some bad breaks, but have played close games to Florida State, Boston College, Oregon State..

Quick scan, their biggest loss is 10 points. All others are less than 8.

They have another big guy who is a beast.

I think they did a little better than playing Oregon State, Boston College and Florida State close. They beat them.

Oh wow lol I think I blacked out while running errands.

I stand corrected and affirm my previous point.

This is a good team, who has had some bad bounces.

I agree this is a good team and we will have our hands full in my opinion. I have noticed that their fans have been unloading on their coach because of their recent failures.

3.5 point favorites in the Convo tomorrow. Our 3rd tossup-ish MAC game already. Another big game.

UMass beating Boston College and Florida State then immediately turning around and losing it's MAC-debut to Kent would've been funny enough... But then they go to Ypsilanti and lose? Pure cinema. Life on the road in the MAC

Some sports betting buddies of mine asked me about this game. I said stay away. You never know which Ohio team will show up each half, and UMass appears to be the best team in the country with a 0-3 conference record....

Need a good start tonight. No 20 point deficits.... Will be interesting to see if/how Pav can get some rest during the game...

Is there a prop bet for Pavs playing 35min+? Hammer that.

Should be a good game, but early start time at 6PM. Will it impact attendance and what is your attendance guesses?

Any word on Double-E? Losing him for an extended period of time will be detrimental. He was just finding his footing and his explosiveness and defense was key in a league where we are often times "outathletic'ed."

Boals always seems to keep injuries close to the vest.

If he's out for an extended period, I hope we see some more of Fisher. He's burned his redshirt for the year, so I'd like to see Boals make it worth it and take off the training wheels. He had 17 in 13 mins a few weeks ago and hasn't played since.

I wouldn't hold my breath on Fisher. He's behind both Burris and Connors at the tail end of the bench, and his only game time has come against D3 schools, in blowout losses (GMU, St Mary's) and a single minute in our only blowout win vs. Maine.

Seems safe to assume that he's getting outplayed in practice by a bunch of people.

We are so much better when the offense runs through Simmons/Pavs and Hadaway is our third option.

And Burris should basically have this job even if Elliott isn't out long. We need a shooter that keeps guys out of the paint. Simmons actually has room to operate, and all out took is shots falling from Burris and Connors.

I know it's just a half, but we're so starved for shooting that you just can't give all those minutes on the wing to Elliott now that Kelly has surpassed him.

Looks like we saved our "me first" offense usually reserved for the first half for the second half. I will say it again, Hadaway is at his best as a hustle guy who is 3rd or 4th option. Dude is weak. Come on guys. Don't get cooked at home!
