I'd like to see our bigs stay a little closer to the hoop rather than the perimeter as much.
I think you're going to be disappointed. Its not Boals philosophy. He wants guys who can interchange 1-5 on the floor ala Golden State.
I don't think this is true, either for Boals or Golden State.
Boals has recruited plenty of bigs who don't have that in their game: Searls, Breath, Dwight Wilson, Evans, the dude with bad grades Leon obsessed over, Ogbonda, etc.
And Golden State's best teams had a lot of minutes go to guys like Andrew Bogut, Kevin Looney, and Festis Ezeli. They traded for DeMarcus Cousins.
Golden State played stretches that way, but only because they had two unicorns in Draymond and Durant who can handle the ball on offense and defend 5s. But most Golden State units aren't structured that way, and nothing about Boals' recruiting makes me think that's what he's aiming for.
Even last year's very small l in be up didn't switch offensively. Guys basically had precisely defined roles that they never deviated from. We weren't position less. We were just small.
