I don't see Mike Cifliku listed on the team website as part of the 25-26 Coaching Staff anymore.
Not sure if he left recently or not, but maybe Casey is replacing him.

This is also what I just looked to check. Who left? It looks like Mike Cifliku. I know he was listed a month or so ago.

EDIT: It looks like a couple of weeks ago.

Being an assistant coach is a grind. He's an OU grad and has a masters in coaching, so I wonder if he found a role head coaching High School or something? Feels like that's probably a step back, unless that's his life's passion.

Good luck, kid.

Welcome back Casey! Quite a step-up for a young kid. He can't be much older than 24-25? In a good position to learn from Boals and Thornton.

Assistant Coach - Ohio University Men’s Basketball

2d

Dear Friends,

After careful thoughts and deliberations, I have determined that it would be best for me to depart from my special place, Athens, OH and Ohio University Men’s Basketball on a chapter where I started 9 years ago. I can honestly say this is one of the most difficult decisions of my life so far, but I know it’s the right thing for me personally.

It’s hard to put into words what OU and the people I’ve worked with have meant to me. Ohio University has been absolutely amazing and I want to take the opportunity to give a special THANK YOU to Coach Boals and the coaching staff, managers, administrators, support staff, trainers, players, professors, the amazing FANS, and anybody else that I have had interactions with throughout my time at OU. I am more than grateful to everyone that impacted me on a daily basis and all the amazing relationships that I have built throughout these years.

As I start my new chapter I will continue to follow the Ohio family very closely and keep in touch with all of you. As a lifetime Bobcat, I am excited to watch the journey of this team closely as they compete for a championship.

From the bottom of my heart, all the great memories and moments the last 9 years will never be forgotten, and I am excited for the next chapter in my journey.

- Chief
