Huge example of that was when BVP drained that beautiful step back three against Belmont. Holy s&*t the student section erupted when he deked that kid out and drained it.

Sears is walking the ball down court. Suddenly he pulls up from half court and shoots with like 22 seconds left on the shot clock. It goes in. That's a good shot just because it went in? Some of BVPs bombs are only like 8 feet closer.

You're absolutely free to disagree (and certainly no disrespect from my end either), I just think that quite a few of BVP's bombs, which sometimes aren't even close to going in and is airballing on some, are ill-advised shots. I think that his shooting % will improve if his shot selection improves. That's all.

And yes, you just have to take what you can when it's so late in the shot clock. But many of BVP's shots are not late in the clock.

I know that - I was just trying to add to it. Sometimes tone gets lost online (haha).

Big game against Kent State tomorrow. Hopefully BVP and BRod are both dialed in and we get a nice win at home!

I am curious now. How often has Sears walked the ball up the court and taken a shot from deep with 22 secs left on the clock?

TO be sure, I support the "take good shots" mantra. Move the ball. pass side to side, move the defense, find the open look, so I am in agreement with the thought that wasted possessions come from stupid shots. Just because it goes in does not mean it is good BBIQ.
