I kinda liked the gray unis. Also that they have OHIO vs Bobcats. I would think we will see a variety - Gray, Green, Black.....

I didn’t mind the grey uniforms as much as I did when I first saw them. Maybe it was better in person than on tv.

I did not care for the black warmups with the diagonal Ohio. Just didn’t like the look.

Grey is not a school color. There should never be Grey trim, socks, stripes, etc. let alone the actual jersey color. Green is the primary school color and should appear in some form on every uniform. I don't care if these looked good or bad or whatever. Nothing about that scheme says Ohio. We might be able to design Blue and Grey uniforms for Robert Morris and red and yellow uniforms for Kentucky. They might both look good in some estimations. But we shouldn't. Now get off my lawn.

Grey is just not a good look for basketball uniforms in general. It works for Georgetown because that’s their actual color, but for the most part, I have not liked it on any school I have seen it. It was really big a few years ago. It’s kind of funny that we’re doing grey now. It makes us look really behind the times.

That’s my issue. Not whether it looks good or bad, but that we look like a team from 2013.

These would’ve been considered fresh when Groce was roaming the sidelines.

I actually like the diagonal Ohio warm-ups, though. I wish they were green, though.

You know things are going well when we complain about uniforms. Frankly, the only concern I have about them is how the guys wearing the uniforms perform.

I didn't think they looked bad. The grey is darker than Georgetown grey and the white numbers and letters are easily readable.

Though I'd prefer kelly green for our away unis since that's actually our colors. I have the same opinion for our black unis.

Edit to add - at least the jerseys say "OHIO" and not "Bobcats". Yeesh, that's painful.

But as long as they don't look hideous (I don't personally think they did) then the only thing that really matters is if the guys like them and like playing in them.

Hunter Green. Kelly Green = Marshall.

Originally it was "Darmouth Green," after we changed from blue and white, in 1897. Only the old rice paddy grunt and I can actually remember that.

It is indeed hunter, but I distinctively remember our unis in the 90s and multiple official media guides stating our colors were the brighter "kelly" green. I like that shade better. I find the darker green kinda dull.

When did we officially switch?

Marshall’s shade of green screams youth soccer league jerseys.

Ours is like an English racing car.

One of my friends attending the Purdue Western Mich game noted that the Broncos Gray was closer to white than Dark Grey leaving him straining to watch the game as both teams had similar styles and looks in unis. He said watching the action moving up and down the floor from Mackey (Convo lite) was confusing from the top of the lower bowl. https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=10165710278385305&set...

I understand what he is saying as some of our local teams wear their gray at home rather than on the road. I know I have seen Kent's gray but I can not remember if they wore them on the road or at home.
Found the answer to my own question in the new Convo flooring thread..
In 1995 OHIO adopted PMS 336c which is Hunter green. Which changed from Kelly Green of the 70’s and 80’s. Problem is with Kelly Green is it’s not an official dye color and it’s hard to match Kelly’s. Hunter is a consistent color.

I'd personally prefer we stick with green & white and occasionally where a black jersey to mix it up.

What I find funny about this thread is that the majority of men out there wear ill fitting, inappropriate clothing every day, everywhere. Whether it’s church, the theater, restaurants or just going to the grocery store or even a game.

Yikes. That's gotta be hard on the officials' eyes too.

My daughter came with me to the CSU game and she loved the warmups. She thought they looked like the front of her 110 uni when she marched and said I like that so remember that as Christmas is approaching!

EVERY member of the coaching staff and support staff, HC/Boals down to the water/towels crew tonight had the Exact same clothing on - White polo's and Black slacks. Not at Church, but on a Singular/Aligned Mission - I Liked That!

My biggest complaint is that fans don't have access to purchase the shirts that coaches wear during games and the different shirts/long sleeves that players wear in warmups. I'd buy it in a heartbeat over the fanatics crap.

I've never understood the issue with this. It's 2-3 minutes of discussion about attire. All decent radio broadcast commentators have the ability to fill air time. They HAVE to be able to during lulls in a game. Besides that, it also makes them human, and allows us to get to know them just a little.

Marty Brennamen and Joe Nuxhall made Hall of Fame broadcasting careers out of their story telling - both about baseball, and about tomato gardens.
