The absolute biggest key to getting back to 10k+ crowds is the return of a lively, coordinated, passionate and entertaining student section. It attracts so much and keeps people of all ages coming back to the Convo.

Hopefully the 110 will bring some rock'n roll to fit in with salute to the 80's!
Some Meatloaf tunes would be timely !! I hope that the band will be allowed to play often to help pump up the crowd, and the Bobcats!

I was the Director of Ticketing during that Gary Trent game many years ago when we packed the Convo. That was the perfect storm of how we sold out the Convo.

- Dad's weekend brought in all the dads wanting to watch Basketball
- We priced the Convo perfectly to sell as many seats as possible.
- $1 for top 5 rows, $3 next 5 rows, $6 next 5 rows and so on until $20 seats for the first 15 or so rows of the upper level.
- Marketed that game like crazy for weeks with the Gary Trent celebration

That was an awesome day and great job done by marketing, ticketing and entire staff. It's one of my best memories I have working there during some of the best years of Ohio Athletics
- Sweet 16 run
- First ever Bowl win in Boise, ID.
- Football win at Penn St.
- Basketball win over Goergetown

I would love to see the Convo packed again!
Thank you for your dedication and all the hard work to bring that day to fruition! As a former ticket rep, I know all the work that goes into selling an event like this and you should be very proud of what you guys pulled off.

I'm very thankful I was able to experience this game as a student with my dad and brother (both alums) and I know that those memories wouldn't have been possible without you and your staff at the time.

Enforcement of the mask mandate would not help attendance at all. You could make the argument it would hurt attendance more than help it.

Both sides could make the argument, but neither should.

Ran across the Ozone twitter this AM while reading OU mens bball Twitter. It would seem that Social Media would replace the "sheets' distributed in many student sections over the years. The Pollitz brothers would have been buried with the creativity of former OZoners with the tools available these days.

Borna, Cincinnati went west because they were in the Missouri Valley conference with all those western teams.

While overdosing on various hoops and football games today, I saw something at the Auburn/Kentucky basketball game that I think OUr Ozone could easily replicate. When an Auburn player was shooting a foul shot the students would stand with both hands outward and upon the player making the shot would do a *clap, *clap and then simultaneously form the letters *A and *U overhead with their arms while saying *A and *U. We could easily do the same after each successful foul shot in the Convo...
As a Bobcat player gets to the foul line the students stand with both hands out front and once the shot is made a rhythmic *clap *clap and then a verbal *O *U (while forming the letters O and U overhead with their arms).
As a career educator I never backed away from taking an idea from a colleague if it was effective in their classroom and implementing it into mine.
Just a thought from an old fart who still enjoys an exciting atmosphere at the games....

That would spice up foul shots.
