If this game goes off, I expect a really tough one. Our relatively easy schedule has allowed us to get some wins that we were rather lucky to get, but hey we got them. Will our stretches of poor play finally catch up with us?

My expectations for pre MAC games were not met. Loosing an NBA guard that spread the ball to other players and a dominating center really took a toll on our 2021 team. (thus offensive rebounds, tip-ins, and second shots are missing) That said, the current rotation and depth off the bench may be the silver bullet that will win the majority of MAC games.

I think we did a decent job in the non-conference. We won all our home games (7),
went 2-2 on the road, with our only losses being at Kentucky (who just beat North Carolina by 29 at a neutral site), and a 12-0 LSU team. We haven't had DW, and have played without Lunden McDay for many games. While not always pretty, or some tough shooting nights, we've managed to go 9-2. I have faith that Jeff will coach up our new guys, make the rotation work, and keep us getting better. Hopefully, we can make a run like last year.

Wow, how far we have come with our expectations as a fanbase! We finished an 11-game pre-conference schedule 9-2 with our only two losses to a highly-ranked Kentucky team (AWAY) and an undefeated LSU (AWAY) that we took punches from and came back to be competitive. We beat NCAA mid-major teams in Belmont and CSU, dominated our rival in Marshall and took care of business with every other team we played. It wasn't pretty at times but OUr guys took care of business down the stretch of games, played great defense and had offense when needed. They've dealt with the loss of their NBA point guard, their All-MAC big man and a 2-year starter who was considered our lockdown defender. Ezuma started the year hurt and Schmock, as a senior, is in his first D-1 season. I am awe struck at the lack of enthusiasm where many of you use the words "disappointed" or "Decent job." The job done by Boals is amazing.

8 of our 9 wins were by double digits including wins over Belmont, Cleveland State and Marshall. We didn't play great in some stretches but that's pretty typical for November and December as coaches try to figure out rotations that work. We expected to be missing one starter from last season. We are down three. I'd call the offseason schedule a big success. My big takeaway so far is that our team defense is very good and that's something you can hang your hat on.

You were expecting 10-1 or 11-0?

aaaaaand this game is postponed. Looks like the problem is with Eastern as they have also postponed their next game against Buffalo.

Nothing confirmed from either school yet? Bizarre. I trust Goodman, but would be nice if school's confirmed. We've got hotel/travel considerations we're trying to navigate. Need to see something official from schools

Dominating opponents was my expectation. "Cream de la Cream" of the MAC so to speak. The way they played in the Big Dance was awesome, and awesomeness is my hope moving forward.

I first noticed it was marked "Postponed" on EMU's schedule. Then I saw Goodman's tweet.

I wonder if we're allowed to and will pursue a non-conference replacement. New Orleans/OSU is cancelled due to Covid issues with the Buckeyes. UNO could conceivably keep their incoming flight arrangement.

Oh man, please have some alternative. I’m driving 9 hours with my son right now for his first Convo experience. I’d even take watching an open practice if possible. This is so unfortunate.

Game was rescheduled, so we are not looking for any games. Sorry new email out. Game not being made up.

EMU is having issues with its women's team as well. Postponed its midweek game and the Saturday game at the Convo has been pushed back a day.

I will never not be amazed by people's inability to differentiate lose and loose.

Goes back to at least the Pat Paulsen bit on the Smothers Brothers show where he went to a bad tattooist and wound up with "Born Too Loose."
