Same old story: gonna have to limit turnovers, stay out of foul trouble so our lack of depth doesn't kill us, and need to find some way to not get slaughtered on the boards.

If B-Rod isn't out of his funk, then I'm not too optimistic. Gonna need more than our Big 3 to get this W.

At this point, kinda want Lundo to get the start but since he didn’t play last game, idk what the situation is.

Turnovers really haven't been an issue for this team so far this season. They've had double-digit turnovers in just two games -- Cleve St (12) and The Mount (11, with three of those in the last couple minutes when the subs were in). They had only five vs Kentucky. The problem there was rebounding and not hitting threes late.

Let's hope the non-covid flu bug that ran through the football team last week doesn't find its way to the b-ball side. Several players were out or much less than 100% vs BG yesterday because of the flu.

I think teams have realized we want to utilize JC and BVP in the post and then have them pop out when needed. Hopefully we can hit our shots.

Need BVP pulling the trigger in this one. Felt like the last two games he’s hesitated to shoot. Seems to be having problems with his back too. Hopefully it’s nothing major.

Yeah Burrito, the good thing is, our strength matches up well to their strength. We don't turn the ball over very much, while they are one of the best at causing them. Whereas Kentucky is #2 in ORB and #52 in DRB in the country, LSU is very good at #41 for ORB and are middle of the pack with regards to defensive rebounds at #164 per Torvik. Quite good, but a couple steps below Kentucky. Another strength LSU has is it's 2 pt. and 3 pt. defense. The good news is, due to our bigs shooting 3's, it may be a different look than they have faced this season. Obviously, JC, AJ and IJ will have to shoot well from the 5 spot to win but, I think we have a better chance against LSU. Kentucky is just so good at rebounding and, with Dwight and IJ out, it was too much to overcome.

GO BOBCATS!!!

Pretty sure it’s just part of ESPN+, so no extra charge on top of that $5.99 or whatever a month that is.

The LSU board (tigerdroppings) is humorous... At first I found it annoying because football and basketball aren't separated out, but then reading threads I found that to actually be hilarious. Everyone is freaking out about them hiring a new football coach, and then you've got basketball posters (and possibly some trolls) proclaiming that LSU is now a basketball school and football posters are responding in outrage. Quality material. Still not any discussion around the Ohio game.

I’ve posted on Tigerdroppings for nearly a decade. It’s a hilarious and active message board. Definitely have some crazies and real fanatics, but there is a ton of traffic and it’s well run (please add a like button here). The More Sports Board is where you’ll find the most fans from other schools. Plenty of other boards on there too if you’re brave enough. 😅

I’m an Ohio graduate. Lol. I’ve just posted on Tigerdroppings because there’s tons of activity on the board, especially for college football. My post count is low, but I’m a Bobcat through and through.

Looks like the tigers all hit the boards, we're going to need to put some bodies on people. Their big freshman center, Reid, 6-11, has been doing some damage. I think Jason and BVP can utilize some veteran wiles on the young man but we may need IJ to use his share of fouls. Granger finally saw the floor on Friday, very briefly, maybe he can take up some room too.

I'm seeing it available through ESPN+
I was able to tap into the Rider-Ole Miss game, which is listed as both ESPN+ and SECNet+, even though I have only ESPN+ so tomorrow night's game should be available just through ESPN+. I couldn't get the Kentucky game because it was on mothership SECNet and it's not part of my DTV package.

12.5 point dogs. What was the Kentucky line? I feel like it was about the same.

I'm not sensing a ton of optimism on BA heading into tonight's game. I think maybe too many people are reading too much into last Friday's game. With that said, I can't get a feel for this one. I feel like we either keep it close or get the doors blown off if we don't get on the boards. So with that said....does this game stay within 1-9 points.....does it fall between 20-30...or do we spring the upset?

Regardless, let's find a way to get better and improve from the last performance.

Yeah, I think there was a lot of irrational exuberance after the Belmont game that kept rising until the second half in Lexington. As others have pointed out, this team has massive potential but also some painful deficiencies - most notably weak shooting (which is hopefully temporary) and rebounding (which seems permanent). Games like this and tough MAC road games in places like Buffalo, Fiami and Akron will teach us a lot about this team.

We have a comp game: they beat Belmont by 30 at home.

You can't read much into that, but certainly can draw a reasonable conclusion that we're going to have to play a lot better down the stretch than we did against UK to have a shot. Gotta make those open looks. This team is still coming together as a unit with two big offseason losses (Preston and Wilson). I'm not expecting a turnaround just yet, but some flashes would be nice to see.

We can't get out muscled like we did at UK and expect a better result. Granger got some action recently, what's his status, seems strange he has gotten more playing time. There was some talk that he might redshirt before his recent appearance. Anyone have an idea of what's going on?

Gotta make shots. Against Belmont we shot 48% overall from the field and 43% from 3 -- with 1/2 our shots being from 3. Cleve. St. 38%/38/ 1/2 shots from 3. Robby Morris: 46%/30% 40% sots were 3s. Kentucky: 36%/33% again, 40% of shots were from 3. St. Mary: 46$/30% - only 20% of shots were 3s.

Need to shoot 45%+ from field and 3 and 40%+ of shots need to be 3s. Making shots also helps rebounding as it limits Off board needs and allows us to get back on D.

We'll see. Would be a good game for Roderick and/or McDay to go off.
