While I agree the amount of money he's making is crazy to coach basketball, there's a flip side to this. The other side of the argument is the unprecedented success they are having, which is probably leading to the university making a lot more money on basketball.

Aside from the absurdly large contract, the fact that is is being given to one of the most unsavory characters in college sports is disheartening. The highest levels of the NCAA is a world replete with lowlifes, grifters and corruption, yet Pearl stands out for his sliminess. And because he wins all is overlooked. We all know the world isn't fair but the NCAA takes that cliche to new lows daily.

No debate there. I'm not a fan of his either. I'm only pointing out winning makes Auburn more money, which is why he's there "for life".
