They're in about the same boat we are. They're also playing their fifth game in ten days. It would be great to get some significant PT for our bench to save some energy for EMU.

We are 13.5 point favorites on the road against a team that is 5-4 in the conference. After following the MAC for 20+ years...That seems absolutely crazy to me.

Central will play four guys 6-10 or taller and is a better shot blocking team than Toledo. They're an okay defensive team but not much going for them on offense. They're dead last in FG%, second to last in ppg, and bottom quarter in A/TO ratio. Continue forcing turnovers and if our outside shot is threatening, this should be a comfortable win.

This reminded me about a serious gambler I knew who ran his own book at one point. He was convinced someone could do really well if they closely followed mid major and smaller conferences.

The second we take out our top 3 our guys out big leads tend to evaporate. So beating CMU by that much on the road seems a stretch….

I used to be convinced that college hoops was something a person that followed it closely could do well on. I'm not sure I still agree, but I'd have to think that it's a better bet than most other sports, especially once you get into the thick of conference play and there's a track record to go on.

If you seriously follow the MAC in football and basketball, and do not bet with your heart, you can clean up on some out of whack lines.

The reason I would tend to give the points is because we've shown even when we win comfortably the final deficit ends up quite a bit lower. If we do have a 20 point lead with 8 to go, it's probably 50/50 that we end up winning by 14+.

I feel the line is inflated as well. The Western Michigan line of -21 was crazy. I know there is no such thing as easy money, but WMU +21 was easy money for those who follow Ohio basketball closely.

I believe we learn a ton about our team tonight. This is not a good spot for Ohio. Week long road trip...5th game in 12 days...coming off a disappointing loss at Toledo and now going to play an improved CMU team in an empty gym.

Don't care what the final is....just need to come out with a win. But if I were a betting man...I'd tell all my friends to take CMU and the +13 1/2 in a heartbeat.

They had a good crowd for their recent home game vs Western, but they're rivals. Will be interesting to see what kind of crowd they have tonight.

It looked pretty sparse....

As discussed on other threads, having OUr upcoming Akron game in the Convo moved from a Saturday to Friday sucks. But we should still have thousands vs hundreds in attendance...

At least I made a few of my friends some money last night. I know there is no such thing as free money, but the Western Michigan and Central Michigan lines were lay-ups for those who follow Ohio hoops closely.

Don't expect much from CMU the rest of the way. They play Tuesday-Thursday-Saturday every week this month; 12 games in 26 days. They're at WMU tomorrow, then home to EMU next Tuesday before at Toledo, at Ohio and at MOFO, and wrapping up February at home vs Kent. I think we saw their fatigue hitting in the second half last night. They just didn't have the energy to press like they did in the first half. I think our fatigue showed up at the FT line; we were something like three for our first ten.

Kevin Miller looks like the real deal. I wonder how long he's going to be satisfied playing in front of a few hundred fans.
