Saw on twitter that there were some schedule changes.

- Ohio @ Kent (originally scheduled for Saturday 2/19) has been moved to Friday 2/18 at 7 PM. Game will now be on CBSSN

- Ohio @ CMU (postponed by Covid in Mt. Pleasent on 1/15) has been rescheduled for Thursday 2/10

That second reschedule means Ohio will play Tue-Thur-Sat for two consecutive weeks. At least the team might be able to go straight from Toledo on Tuesday to Mount Pleasent on Thursday and then stop in Ypsi on the way back Saturday.

The schedule will hurt us a bit down the stretch. how much and does that come into play in Cleveland in March with fatigue. Toledo and Ohio have been hot so far but does the heavy schedule help teams like Buffalo, Miami, Kent State and Akron which play longer benches. Covid and injuries are a huge wild card.

Sometimes a challenging schedule can be used as a motivational factor and prove to a team that they can over come any road blocks placed in front of them.

So really, it's 8 games in 18 days because the Buffalo game is done with an extra day before the BSU game. Five of the 8 games are vs bottom-five teams in the MAC (EMU twice; WMU, CMU and MOFO once each). And having road games vs Toledo, CMU and EMU in the same week could be a plus because it's a week-long road trip instead of traveling from Athens and back several times. The two toughest games are likely to be at Toledo (game 4) and the last game at Kent. There's a good chance that we'll go no worse than 6-2 in this stretch.
