Eastern Michigan smoked Central Michigan 99-68. The Eagles had 5 players in double figures, lead by Bryce McBride with 16.
EMU is starting 3 frosh. Heath is gonna have EMU among the MAC's top 3 or 4 teams really soon if not already.

I went to school with Mo Njie. Crazy to see his improvement from middle school to now. Seems like he’s starting to feel more comfortable out there.

Yeah, if he can keep it rolling in this era they could have something special. It’s impressive already, but it’s hard to imagine that whole crew staying amid the tumbleweeds of Ypsilanti for three more years. Transferring is just too easy nowadays.

Akron went into BG tonight and won by 25. Bryan Trimble Jr. went 10-14 from 3 on his way to 33 points.

Akron also won on Tuesday 74-73 over WMU by going on an 11-0 run over the last 2 minutes. Akron improved to 8-1 at home.

The four contenders all in action on Friday. Can't see anyone else realistically breaking through.

Eastern with the toughest go this week. They trounced Miami and while the final score was only 10 difference they had a huge lead at the half. Of OHIO's three games, Eastern appears to be the toughest challenge since Eastern has on occasion scored a bunch of points. But OHIO's defense limits the score.
Buffalo gets time to lick their wounds from Friday's mauling.

The current top four seeds in the MAC standings are

1) Toledo
2) Ohio
3) Akron
4) Kent

That'd make for an outstanding tournament semifinal Friday.

Don't look now, but if the MAC tournament started today, Central Michigan would be the 5 seed.
