You don't even have to be McKinney to know that Central is a potentially dangerous opponent. They've been playing better lately, won at Kent State and just won in Muncie.

After getting abused in Toledo, I'd like to see the team have a strong response to get back on track. I don't see this as an easy game at all.

Central would be the six seed if the tournament started today. That's insane.

This is also an opportunity to reclaim land on the college basketball imperialism map.

All these teams that will be in March Madness, and Central Michigan. Athens belongs to Rutgers at the moment.

This is a game where it would have been so much better to play when it was supposed to be played. CMU is better now and we had tp squeeze in another game on tired legs.

True, but aren't they effectively on a very similar "tired legs" path?

CMU could be our first round opponent in Cleveland.

Feels good to be a meme of sorts now.

Could be a tough game tonight if Central can keep playing like they have lately.

Size wise, I like our matchup with Sears vs. Kevin Miller, though Miller may not be guarding Sears. Miller has been playing well recently, but it's not like Toledo's 6-4 guards. Healy is someone you have to identify spotting up in transition. So that means we should avoid bad three attempts and live ball turnovers.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before but I think starting Schmock over Miles Brown would make a lot of sense.

Right now with Brown out there for 30+ minutes, defense's can put a wall up in the lane/paint without a huge 3 pt threat. Schmock would provide that plus allow Sears to play off the ball some.

I think TS has earned a shot at starting. I think this is a great game to try that lineup out.

I see what you are saying per kudos to Schmock - However I do not see that as a good strategy per the message it sends to Brown. Schmock can can off the bench anytime if it looks like needed or right time to - whether 2 mins in or at 6-8 mins in as typical.

What message might that be? The better player earns a starting position? The player putting Ohio in a better position to win gets the starting nod? Start producing more if you want to keep your starting position?

Sears.

What is the deal with his last 60 minutes of hoops? I’m surprised Boals didn’t bench him for a stretch in the first half.

This is a brutal, brutal watch. Hope the boys come out a little more motivated for the second half.

A good and great team gets better or is as good when you get that 6th man in. Tommy is right where he needs to be.

I missed a good bit of the 2nd half. Why was Carter on the bench so much of that half?

Henderson is a real nice 5-man for Central. Well traveled, too. Two years at USC, transfer to Milwauke, grad transfer to Southern, bonus year at CMU. Hope those credits have been transferring.

Kevin Miller could be the MAC freshman of the year. That guy is lightning quick and has the look of someone CMU could build around.

Frosh of year down to Miller and Sparks at Ball St. That is, unless Farrahkan at EMU is considered a frosh (he played 10 games at ECU last year but EMU list him as a freshman).

Miller at 11 pts, 4 assists and 3 reb per.

Sparks at 13 ppg and 8 rpg

Farrahkan at 16 ppg, 4 rpg and 2 1/2 assists per.

Central really does have some nice pieces. With the new transfer rules you just wonder if they're going to stick around.

I believe cramps. If so, that's starting to become a significant issue.
