I don't remember Andy Kaufman being so terrified of having to defend his opinion.

The infection rates are decreasing. What is the magic threshold we need to cross that allows me to consume popcorn while watching the game?

Obviously referring to him continuously staying in character and refusing to break from it.

He wasn't afraid defending his opinions about professional wrestlers to Jerry "The King" Lawler.

It might be time for The Optimist to change the handle to "The Sarcastic"...people are not picking up on your new refreshing method of trolling as well as I am.
In this case, what concept or idea is being trolled?
I'm struggling to understand how political trolling enhances a thread on a sports message board. Most trolls are not really welcome anywhere online for good reason.

Man, you come to read a thread to see if you can buy a beer at a game and ya get sucked into this.

No clue what point was trying to be made by The Optimist, but it also seems like no one bothered to do a quick search for CDC and Tuskegee.

While this thread is not the place to be educated about the history of African-American's distrust of the healthcare system, a little work on the part of the reader sheds more light on the situation; and maybe stops the further nose-dive of the thread.

Lessons learned, and shared all in one post! Kudos buddy!

That is perhaps the most scathing criticism of the modern day I've read.

Ohio's decision followed one by osu by about a week or two. O$u just announced a return to concession stands for their next game. Expect OUr school to follow suit.

Absolutely. It's Sibs weekend and those Sibs will have lots of mom and dad's money to spend.

OHIO will resume, but it will not be this weekend. It’s also NOT something the Athletic Department controls.

Whenever the concessions open again it won't be a money grab, with all the understandable but costly precautions established by the university over the past year+ are you really so cynical that you think they will make this decision just to sell some more popcorn?

Considering they’re about as good as a division 6 high school, are they even missed?

Kind of goes hand in hand with their lack of mask enforcement. Sounds good to hang a plaque on the wall but the proof is in the pudding.

Would you like to place a friendly wager that concessions will not be open Saturday?

Popcorn? No.

Beer at 7-9 bucks a pop, more likely.

Seriously doubt if they'll be open. First, we may not even have a game with this level 3 snow emergency. Second, it might be difficult to get supplies to sell (see first point). And, even if there is a game and we can get supplies, there may not be enough workers available. Too many variables to place an informed bet. Heck of a weekend for Sibs Weekend.

Let’s just start with the first and only fact that matters is the person making the call doesn’t really care about any of the things mentioned here.

Absolutely wrong. Only water at concessions today, no pudding or anything else.
