Assuming everyone in the portal is gone for good and Mcday is gone, we have two open scholarships.

At this point, Frazier and Estis are not accounted for in the scholarship count.

I think the two spots should address these areas:

-A point guard who is ready to start immediately.

-A versatile front court player who can reliably score.

We also need more offensive production out of the off-guard and wing positions, but there are so many returnees and promising newcomers there already that I think at this point we should trust that one or two guys there can come through.

problem with this portal is you do not have much time for shopping for the right fit.

And another concern would be, if Boals is in fact entertaining the Butler job, how much time/energy/attention is he putting into OHIO Free Agency vs thinking things related Butler?

If Boals leaves, I’d say about 9 schollies available

Yeah, if Boals leaves anything we are thinking now about the roster next year goes up in the air entirely. I would imagine if Boals is leaving for Butler that decision has already been made.

I'm hopeful he stays and if that's the case I'm confident he is already assessing the Transfer Portal for the best players available.
