NIU is a much peskier team than BG in my opinion. Can you imagine if we finish a 23-9 season with 4 straight losses? Yikes.

Hush . . . don't talk like that. Don't even think about such scenarios. Don't rain on my parade. All is lollypops and roses as I sit here drinking my green Kool-Aid and contemplating a CBI championship.

Let's just hope that everything is hunky-dunky with NIU and they haven't given up on their coach.

All I can say is this isn’t a gimme game by any means. Need to end the season on a high note.

I haven't done any research on this at all, but my gut tells me it's hard to play on that weirdest of all college basketball floors.  I do know that it makes it very hard to get good lighting for television cameras.

Whoever designed this monstrousity ought to be shot!

Hasn't NIU been a thorn in our side as of late?

Anyway this game doesn't matter, since we had the best start in program history and took care of business down the stretch by securing the regular season MACC just like the football team has done so many times!

Oh, wait?

I saw Oregon's on TV the other night and thought it was hideous.

I see this game similar to the BG game.
Both teams have loosing records.
Both games are away.
Both games were not a must win to reach the tournament.

I SEE OUR BOYS RIGHT THE SHIP AND WIN, PERIOD.

You're doing this "loosing" thing intentionally, right?

Hey let's all loosen up on the loosing thing. That behavior is for loosers.

Ehem.

I agree. I've said a dozen times this is the worst floor for TV anywhere in the country. If they'd flip the black and red on the whole thing, it might be better.

I don't understand why they kept the hardwood look from the 3pt line in? I think if they filled in all the spaces inside the line black but kept the hardwood in the key it would look much better.

I remember watching a women's game there on ESPN+ and when players got into the darker floor areas, after being in the lighter areas, they literally disappeared, especially those wearing dark uniforms. Then after the cameras went through an automatic adjustment routine and refocused the players would reappear. It was an extremely difficult viewing experience.

I know, at one time, maybe they still do, the NCAA had to O.K. any synthetic turf color, other then green.

Does anyone know if the NCAA has any say over the color scheme for basketball
courts ?

The only color turf you cannot have in the NCAA is Blue (unless you are Boise State), due to Boise State having the trademark of the color blue as it pertains to turf fields. The NFL has banned any non-green field.

Luther College (Carlson Stadium) and New Haven has Blue Turf, but they had to obtain written permission from Boise

Laugh if you want, Boise State University has trademarked the blue field, and to lay a blue field you must get permission from Boise State. Which they have seemed to be willing to do to smaller schools.

Here’s hoping we have an easy win and a confidence booster going into the tournament. We’ve really fallen off in the last part of the season.

He's still stressed out about shot clock/scorer's table issues.

Don't think we want to see Buffalo on Thursday. Hopefully the guys are prepared and motivated to play tonight.

Actually more distraught that they will not run the shuttle to the game since it was moved from Saturday to Friday.
