Thanks, Alan. It would probably work even better if an experienced instructor would come in and sing it live. You game?
My singing days ended back in junior high when my voice went south. Thanks for the offer though. Once Covid is over, given the right topic, I'd be more than happy to stop by. I've had the chance to teach at our local high school in a class on personal finance. The teacher who put together that program could very well set the curriculum for the new state mandated personal finance class that is required for all graduates of 2025 and beyond.

I hope some of the students having so much fun tonight and creating a great college basketball atmosphere in this terrific season are seriously thinking about getting to Cleveland.

Quick question....Unfortunately, it's been many years since I've made it to Cleveland for the MAC Tournament.

Does the Ohio Athletic department still sell tickets/do applications for games you can attend or do you have to buy them through the MAC/Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse? In the past I remember filling out an application through our athletics department for tickets in the Ohio section and they would only charge you for games we played in. I'm not seeing an option anywhere to do that currently.

Unfortunately, due to work I would only be able to make it to the Championship game.

Thanks!

I had a discussion with one of my 6th-grade classes earlier this week involving the meaning behind the fable The Boy Who Cried Wolf. The purpose was to let them see how potentially damaging it can be to have a reputation as a liar. Mind you, these are 11 and 12-year-olds.

Now I'm wondering if this might also apply to a grown adult constantly spewing sarcasm online.
The next time you have that discussion/give that lesson, try to work this song into it. When I taught Sociology at Plymouth in the late 70s, I often worked a song into the lesson. For some reason, the kids seemed to grasp the point much better when they could actually hear the words. This Harry Chapin song goes right along with the Boy Who Cried Wolf and Chicken Little.

Harry Chapin wrote this song? I thought it was Cole Porter or Johnny Mercer.

They are doing this for this year, I have gotten some tickets at least for the quarterfinal. I heard most of the tickets went fast among students so hopefully we have a ton of students in Rocket Mortgage during spring break.

I agree. As I said in another thread, as best I can remember, this is totally unprecedented in OHIO basketball history -- at least since 1960. The word that comes to mind is "baffling." What the heck is going on? Perhaps, our team has entered some kind of alternate universe. I almost expect to tune in the next broadcast and hear Rod Serling's voice intone, "There once was a basketball team known as the Ohio Bobcats . . ."
