Last year, in the inaugural challenge it was validated that this is an excellent pairing as we tied, 12-12. Home teams went 8-4 in both legs. Double winners were Miami, Kent & CMU. Double losers were WMU, NIU, and OHIO.

Georgia St @ EMU (-3.5)
Southern Miss @ Buffalo (-1.5)
Old Dominion @ Miami (-6.5)
Coastal Carolina @ WMU (-2.5)
Marshall @ Umass (-4.5)

App State (-2.5) @ CMU
Texas St @ BGSU (-4.5)
Troy @ Kent (-3.5)
Louisiana @ Ball St (-2.5)
James Madison @ Akron (-7.5)
UL Monroe @ Northern Ill (-4.5)

Let's get at least 8 of these tonight for the MAC. 2nd leg will be Sat Feb 7th.

You are right, my bad. I blocked it out from my memory, we got smoked 17-7 in the 2023-24 season.

Actually I believe the MAC was rated several conferences above the SBC this year before today’s debacle. Be interesting to see how the mess affects those ratings. Who knows, maybe it’s because more than one of the MAC coaches don’t really care too much about the outcomes while all of the Sun Belt coaches do.

I think the conferences are pretty even ... and the difference is generally home vs. road.

Bobcats lose to ODU a basement team in the SBC and a middle pack team in Ark State. Not a good look for the MAC.
