I would use the term "recruit" very lightly. Was offered, but really cooled on him afterwards. Used to get a lot of frustration conversations when that community would come to the Convocation Center

I swear the get-in-the-door price for a lot of venues was in the triple digits a week ago. If you wait until day of, I guess the prices plummet. If you're okay with sitting behind baskets, you can get lower level in Indianapolis for under $30. Under $10 in Buffalo. The highest GITD price today is $63 in Fort Worth for the session Baylor's playing. Tomorrow's prices are much higher but let's see what they look like in 24 hours.

Good lessons to keep in mind next year in Columbus.

Good start to the day.

Michigone stayed. SOme of the calls bounced their way and the depth, conditioning and experience playing in the BIG endured while Co St kept hustling... Irritating that fans in our local chat kept calling them Colorado but oh well

Memphis showing what Players will do for ya. Providence flirted with a talented S Dak St team that did not seem to quit. Tenn and Baylor looking like they are supposed to against less talented and gifted teams.

It is a good start to the tourney so far.

Iowa's deep run hopes have been spider bit (love to watch the Big Ten lose more than watching my ex fiance's husband on his rascal---he is very large).

Georgia State didn't get the memo that they are the 16th seed, yet.

iNDIANA going down to St Mary's as well. They said Bohannon was going to break the 3 ball record held by JJ Redick. I kind of laughed as he has had 6 years to do it. Not sure how all those records will be regarded in the long haul.

I think Bohannon had played in more games than anyone in D1 history

UCONN looks to be going down as well. Getting ousted at BG set that program back a few years. I suspect he would have had the Falcons on a roll by now and would probably be at a P5 school He is a good coach that will get a shot.

Check on your BBN friends.

When that game went to OT, I said "here we go, it's going to be all UK." And it didn't happen. A turnover here, missed FTs there, another turnover and the Peacocks' spirit is still there.

I had given up Creighton for dead then they came back and won. Great showing for a team that lost everybody but the 7-footer from last year's squad. They'll have a tough game vs probably Kansas Saturday without him (knee injury) if he can't play. Maybe even with him if he has to play hurt. They play basically a six- or seven-man rotation and are something like tenth worst in D1 in bench points.

I used to work with someone whose ex-wife went to Kentucky. He would have them losing in the first round every year. He's probably getting a huge laugh tonight. I picked them to win but had to pull for St. Pete's from about midway through the second half.

The portal is full of quick/athletic guys like the ones Richmond had to beat slower Iowa and the ones at St. Peters who were good enough to be a bunch of "stars" of UK who unfortunately has a crappy coach. Maybe they will fire him, like most of the SEC coaches who
got pink slips last week.

Akron has played well early but it feels like they should be up by more than 3.

As I watch Akron play right now against UCLA, I see a lot of similarities with the 2012 OU team that took out Mich/USF: excellent defense, great gaurd play, lockdown 3-pt defense, forcing a lot of turnovers.

Would love for someone to check me on this, but am I right that Akron has no seniors on their current roster? If so, this team could be the #1 team in the MAC next year, assuming nobody transfers out.

It’s highly unusual to see the mid major team younger across the board than the P5 team.

If UCLA keeps shooting low percentage shots Akron can hang with them.

I'm pretty sure that guy tore a ligament, probably ACL, and won't be back. I did the same thing on a court and was able to get up but then two steps and it buckled and I was on the floor again. Took it easy for a bit and could slowly walk around and thought maybe I had maybe escaped serious injury and then it buckled again and I'm down. Same thing happened to this dude tonight, he got up and it buckled again and he was carried off.

I’m fully prepared to eat my words on this game. Akron is forcing UCLA into tough shots, one and done possessions, and the clock is ticking away with the Zips either in the lead or within a bucket. I like Akrons chances right now.

My wife is a Saint Peter's grad ,so she's in 7th heaven.

Local coach, pretty much all local kids.

She had no doubts that they could win.

Hanging with Kentucky in the first half, then staying with them in the beginning of the second half, showed the heart they had.

Would also think they have shot at beating Murray State.

Saw the story on ESPN’s website this morning, about Richmond’s win, where it mentioned the Spiders having the most NCAA tournament wins (9) as a 12 seed or lower since seeding began 1979.

The runners-up, all tied with four? Oregon, LaSalle, Princeton, Western Kentucky, Tulsa and the Ohio Bobcats.

The frustrating thing about the Akron game was they had UCLA right where they wanted them. Sadly, it was like they heard footsteps and the lead was gone just like that. Fortunately, one of the announcers corrected the other when he said, "The MAC hasn't won a tourney game in a long time." I was greatly relieved when I heard the other guy say, "Wrong MAC." He said something about the MAC that hasn't won in a while has an extra A (MAAC.)

Shouldn't MAAC be pronounced "Mahk"?
