The biggest payout I'm aware of in LV was when a guy put up $100 on Howard over UNLV (kind of ironic) in football and took away more than a million smackers when the Bison pulled the big upset.
Wonder where he bet that? because Vegas had no line on that game.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4851680/Howard-s...It was reported at the time that it was a bet placed in LV. The stories I read said that it was the biggest upset in LV history. I'm not a bettor so I don't follow this stuff closely, but there were stories about it at the time. Maybe the reporters didn't get their facts straight.
Edit, found this quote from one story about the upset:
"Las Vegas sportsbooks, in the past, did not offer betting on some games featuring FBS versus FCS competition. But as the sports betting market has grown, books have increased their menus and now offer odds on more obscure games. The Westgate didn't post a point spread on the Howard-UNLV game until Saturday and attracted only minimal betting on the game, according to Sherman."
Another place said the odds were 600-1, so the guy getting a million plus dollars must have bet more than $100, but still an excellent return!
