For you very young, youngsters, Mike was an Ohio grad in 1962, former Ohio basketball assistant coach under Jim Snyder, then coached several places including head coach of the Portland Trail Blazers.
It is also on the main Ohio athletics site.

Not being a "very young, youngster" I do remember Mike. Very sad to hear. My he rest in peace!

Did not know he played at Ohio. My recollection of Schuler is as head coach of Portland Trailblazers, where he was the NBA coach of the year in his first season.

I met him in the Milwaukee Bucks locker room at a game in 2005. I have a client who was in the front office at the time. Great career and Rest In Peace.

Not only OHIO but was a part of the parade of talent that came out of Portsmouth, Ohio in the late 50’s and 60’s.
