Hello all! This will be the second poll for the BobcatAttack All-Time Team - The 1990's. I have added three new players to the list after extended requests in the first poll. Gary Trent took the first spot with a very large majority of the votes in the first poll.

BOBCATATTACK'S ALL-TIME TEAM - THE 1990's

1. Gary Trent 1992-95
2.

Now it starts getting tough.

Hard call for me between Curtis Simmons (who regularly was the only player to beat Gary Trent 1 on 1 in practices - and could do everything, score, rebound, pass, defend - if only he could be bothered to care) and Shaun Stonerook who literally led the team in rebounding AND assists both seasons, while being a double figure scorer and shot blocker (and had a long pro career in Europe) and Sanjay Adell who was first or second on the team in scoring and rebounding every year for 3 years straight.

Lewis Geter gets an honorable mention for being a stud prior to Trent.

In the end, I went with Simmons due to his talent.

Others that could be considered on this list:

Nate Craig (led team in assist 90-92)

Dan Aloi (played 2nd fiddle to Geter but was good scorer/shooter and rebounder)

Basra Fakhir (strongest, highest jumping and best rebounding 6'4 dude I've ever met in my life - Charles Barkley light, without the shooting ability)

Diante Flenorl - Never met the crazy expectations when Hunter recruited him, but was up there with Fakhir and Stonerook in rebounding and was a solid contributor for multiple years.

Corey Reed - Flenorl's running mate. Let team in assists and steals 2 years. Knee injuries and inability to shoot kept him from being an elite MAC PG.

Man, he was one of my personal favorite players - mostly because my brother played against him during his time at Huron in HS. But who are Gus Johnson's relatives that gave him 2 votes? Lol. Kid could shoot that's for sure.

Curtis Simmons was underrated due to overlapping with Trent for two years then starring on an underperforming team both years after that. Great player who gets my vote here.

Curtis was underrated due to not being able to stay out of trouble.

True - but Gary wasn't an "ahem" model citizen in his time in Athens either.

I'm curious now about their shenanigans while in Athens.

No, but he'd come to practice

Agreed. Back to my original "if only he could be bothered to care" comment.

Cellis033, can you fix the typo on the last name of the guy I think should take this spot? It's Lewis Geter, not Gete.

MAC Player of the Year in 1991-92. I don't think any Bobcat other than Trent got that honor in this decade.

Unforunately I can't edit the poll once posted but I'll fix it in the next poll. Geter has won this poll!
