Confirmed...my guess heading to Wisconsin or another Big 10 school.

Agree with that prediction. Have not posted in some time, sad it took this to inspire me. Change is inevitable, was hoping for one more year.

Good luck Ben! One of my favorites ever. I don’t think he’ll go somewhere to sit. I’d bet he’ll have as much assurance as possible going in from his next coach that he’ll be part of their plans.

As sad as I am to see this, BVP has done so much for us, maybe even revived the program. He’s forever a legend in my mind and to the city of Athens. Wherever he goes, I’m cheering him on.

Really hate to see him leave, but frankly it’s got to be time to move on. He’ should be one of the top 30 or so transfers, doesn’t he?

From my likely not correct assumptions, this means Ezuma or Clayton could slot into the starting PF position. Hope we can get another big guy transfer.

It's possible this decision is based on BVP looking for a school that offers a particular grad program that is not offered at Ohio. If so, that might narrow the list of possible landing spots for BVP, no?

Edit: not sure where BVP is education-wise. Maybe involves a doctoral program.

We should all be happy for him and wish him the best. I hope wherever he goes is great for his basketball and academic life. Great player and representative of the university.

Amazing that the last Saul recruit is leaving - seems like a decade ago that he was coach.

Anyway, Boals had better start recruiting some big men who can start in the MAC or it’ll be a long season.

I don't have any problem with this. Ben gave us a bevy of fine seasons. Being that he's from Ripon, it would make sense to go play at U of Wisconsin as a many-times-over grad student. I truly wish him well.

He has the extra covid year and gave us 4 years already. Only downside of leaving Ohio is he could set some school and conference records if he stayed.

Wish BVP nothing but the best! Great player, teammate, student and someone people can definitely look up to… (He is 6’8”)

BVP is a cool dude. This was the expected outcome, but I was holding out hope. He's given everything there is to give to OU. Time to move onto other things/programs. Wish him nothing but success and hope to see him on CBS and in the NCAAs next year wherever he goes.

He leaves a massive hole in our roster. I shudder at the thought of AJ Clayton as our starting PF.

In my mind we have 3 solid, locked-up starters in Sears, AJ Brown and Wilson and a whole bunch of meh and question marks.

Need another impact player from the portal stat.
