Jerome Tillman was robbed of MAC POTY not once but twice. Should have won it his sophomore year but some guy who was friends with Lebron won it instead. Definitely should have won it his senior year... led the whole conference in total points and total rebounds when we had an early tournament exit and no postseason tournament. Only two other players in the country did that that season and one of them was Blake Griffin. Also led in FG%, EFG %, field goals, free throws, free throw attempts, and offensive win shares. I get not awarding a player on a losing team, but they essentially gave Mike Bramos a lifetime achievement award.
It is kind of ridiculous that almost two decades of basketball went by from Gary's last MAC POTY and DJ's in 2012-13 and no other Ohio player won it in between.
