At least the refs weren't physically attacked, as has happened at some events where parents are involved. Maybe the coach was intimidated by an adult ref.

I don't know what it's like in AAU b-ball leagues but any coach who acted like this one did would've been gone in a heartbeat from the youth baseball leagues I've been involved in.

Saw a parent come out of the stands, walk onto the court and take a swing at a ref in Bowie, MD and they didn't even make him leave the building much less arrest him.

The worst I ever did was yell at my daughter’s high school basketball coach and call him a jerk. It’s long story, but he richly deserved it. After the season he got his comeuppance when my daughter and wife at separate times confronted him about his displaceable behavior.
