Miami, Ohio v. Duke to help open the 2010-2011 season....

Yep, the Marshall speed-dial still works...

I am, but it would be really nice to be included in one of these big time, Nationally televised deals....

Couldn't we have positioned the Oakland game in some unique way. Like a 1am start or something? Would have been cool.

Why would you want a 1:00am start?  There won't be that many people watching the game and our crowd, if it were home would be pathetic.  I understand that you believe playing the top national programs provides us with an opportunity to be seen on national television, but I would much rather play Kansas at a normal time of the day on a weekend where everyone is sitting around their television set watching sports (I wouldn't be surprised if that game gets picked up).  I just don't see how Miami playing Duke trumps us.

For the record, Miami v. Duke is a 7:30pm tipoff, and isn't part of the ESPN every-two-hours-weird-tip-time marathon, but an additional game on the U that happens to be the same day, and is being marketed as part of the package.  It's just a CBE Classic game, no different than our neutral site tournament with Kansas, except Miami plays in Durham, which obviously is semi-away, not neutral for a Duke game.

I'm sure signing an agreement with Miami was the tipping point for ESPN to broadcast a Duke game.
